NON-FUNCTIONAL assistance from the FCC, FTC, Do Not Call List and the resulting 24 hour daily harassing calls that the public must endure daily .....

Hello CBS NEWS' Investigative Scam Department (  scams@cbsnews.com  ).  Last night I also sent a similarly insightful e/mail directed to your Los Angeles, CA Investigative Reporter, David Goldstein.  With that plea for investigative assistance I also furnished among other things my personal list of at the time 11 of these phone numbers that I have been able to identify.  Now, less than 24 hours later, my list is already up to 13 from last nights 11.  

I don't know how to type this out briefly and I don't want to type out a novel to explain this.  This is a SEVERE matter that is way over my head already and clearly, as per the postings I read almost daily on the internet, quite out of control.  At this point I don't even know if trusting my credit card company is even possible anymore now that I read that credit card companies are selling contact information lists that result in hard working consumers to be harassed at all hours of the day and night on their landline and cell phones (which we have to pay to receive) with unsolicited, unwarranted, bogus financing, mortgage revamps, home construction and various other subjects of solicitation and all even if on the DO NOT CALL LIST for many years as is the case with me.

If you were to simply Google any of these 13 phone numbers that I have "attempted" to block from calling my landline number here at home (see the list  of those 13 numbers below), you'll see ENDLESS complaints posted from other persons such as myself that just can't put up with all of this harassment and disturbance any longer.  

Why aren't the agencies assigned to these matters stopping this????  Why aren't these people being fined as stated??? Why doesn't the DO NOT CALL LIST  stop these intruders????  Why must we also be leery of our credit card companies and banking institutions now?????????  Who can we trust now????  Where will we (I) find peace of mind????

We all work hard and we only live once, why can't it be in a peaceful manor without these added burdens to add to life's complexities????  On top of it, the desperate, naive and elderly are falling victim to these scammers.

Am I making any sense to you in what I seek your investigative expertise in?  If the public even hears that CBS INVESTIGATIONS is looking into this, they'll be glued to their T.V.'s just to hear about it and even to see who these persons are, where they call from and why they do it not to mention HOW and WHO was paid to provide our contact information.

Now below is my personal up to date (2/22/12) list of 13 now blocked calls from my home landline.  I can only block 7 more (20 max) with my AT&T Uverse service and I have no idea yet how to block these calls on my AT&T cell phone service yet.

I filed a complaint with the FCC directly and I was issued a case number.  Below is my current list of numbers that I blocked utilizing my 20 block limit on my AT&T Uverse service.  It's simple to block these numbers on line with this service but I'm already up to 11 blocked numbers.  I don't know what I'll do once I have met my max in blocking ability.  You'll see complaints on all 11 of these numbers on the internet.  I have only posted this insight here regarding the phone number 714-395-6916.  I'd have to repost this insight 10 more times if I wanted to make reference to this insight pertaining to all 11 blocked scammer numbers that I have already discovered and blocked.  Here's a copy and paste of my actual on-line list of blocked numbers (see below).  You'll want not only to block all of these but you too should help see to it that this insight be furnished to persons receiving calls from any of these numbers.  I just can't repeat this posting 10 more times.  FILE WITH THE FCC, THE MORE COMPLAINTS THE BETTER.  This subject matter should also be looked into by your local CBS, NBC, ABC investigative / fraud reporters.  It would make for a VERY interesting special report for all viewers to gain from.  This s... has to stop!!!   Good luck and please help put an end to these disruptive intruders / scammers.  CALL THE FCC AT 717-338-2533.  Here's my blocked number list to date (2-22-12).

They are from triangle construction looking for work.
I wouldn't trust them for nothing.
They came over once wanting to fix my driveway because they had a leftover cement load.
and would make me a special offer for $300 so that he can pay the driver and deliver it the next day.

this number called me on Sunday.  Came up "unknown number".  I let it go to message and they hung up.

Call Triangle Construction back at 310-645-8080 and ask their representative to remove your number from their calling list.  It works, I did it before and it lasted for about 3 years. Otherwise they just keep calling and calling, they never let up.

Here it is, June 2011 and they are still calling. I've called back but it's just a recording saying "The Magic Jack customer at 714-395-6916 is unavailable. Please leave a message. Sorry but the user's mailbox can't accept more messages."

I get a call from 714-395-6916 just about every day. They do not say any thing. On my caller ID it reads unkown caller. Could you tell them to stop calling me?

This person called and said my name and then said she was from the Home Store and if we needed any work done. I said no and she just hung up?? Tried to call back and message box full??

Same as anoying calls as reported above, we get three rings then it stops. If I answer before the third ring, I get a dial tone.  When I dialed the number, I get the mail-box-is-full message.  We are on the Do-Not-Call list.  I am familier with the technology and my guess is that by the  third ring, the comlputer has detected that we are on the list, just a guess.  I will report it to the Do-Not-Call web site.

I have been getting this call for quite some time. It rings and I rush to the phone then it hangs up. I to have tried calling the number back and it says the mail box is full message. I am on the Do Not Call. It is so annoying.

I called the telephone company and was told I have to pay a monthly fee to block this caller.

This person has been annoying for several weeks. I called them back and ask why they keep calling and hanging up on me when I answer. They told me they couldn't tell me. I told them they are harassing me and to stop calling. I'm on the Do Not Call list.

I have been keeping a log and they call me several times a day from up to 5 different phone numbers and leave a message to call Randy.

They have even called my husbands work number and left a message on my husbands business number.
Randy is the annoying individual at the Stanton, Ca. branch.

I only heard clicks when I answered.  This is the first time I've gotten a call from them.  I'm not encouraged to read here that calls from this number can be a common occurrence.

This company has called everyday around 12:00pm or 10:30am When either my husband or I answer they hang up. It's so annoying to rush to the phone.

I have ask the phone company about blocking the number and they tell me I have to pay a monthly fee to block this annoying phone number.

Received many calls from this number, throughout the month.  No one ever responds and then just hangs up.  Why can't the phone company cut this line off with all the complaints I've read about this practice?

Same as 866-949-8025.  Both have the same recording when you call them.  "Voice Mail is full."

Same story...daily calls. I think it is Dreamworks , a home remodeler. I have reported them numerous times...no change.

VERIZON wireless uses this 714 # to call me on my cell everytime I'm late paying them!!  If you have Verizon as provider... make note that this is one of their credit/ collection protocols.

866-949-8025 is a bill collection svc for somebody... I know not specific company name because when I answer they hear me... then HANG UP! Annoying! I guess they only want a location or residential confirmation that I still live here. Anyway... for what it's worth... this phone# is a bill collector.

I noticed that this number called this morning at 8:30. They just called again now at 12:10 p.m. When I answered, the person on the other end said "Sorry, wrong number" then hung up on me. I hope they don't call back!

This caller is a frequent caller but does not leave a message. I will not answer.

This number is associated with Crown Home Center.  Flat out cold calls...   They always have someone in your neighborhood or at least close by that can come by and give you a free quote on anything that you need done to your house.
