I didn't get a call, but I did get an email that sounded very genuine.  It was a "college student" from a Christian College that we know of very well asking some general questions.  The phone number 731-444-5555 was listed to call but it sounded like a weird number to me.  Also this student didn't use her college email address and was from another state than the college is in.  I was immediately suspicious and wanted to check before replying to the email. I checked this number and found that it belongs to another person other than the one who was named in the email. So I imagine this poor guy is having lots of problems with his cell phone number being given out falsely.    These people are slick and sneaky.  I can see that it was probably someone trying to get a reply from me or a phone call that would have given them my name, email or phone number.  
 Amazing that people are so bored or stupid they have nothing better to do that waste time on the computer and mess with other people's lives.

The best thing to do when you receive these calls is to file an online complaint with the Federal Communications Commission or FCC.  Go to the website and file an online complaint.  They will follow up with you shortly and believe me this works!  They go after these callers, particularly if you are on the "Do Not Call" registry.

Just got a missed call from the number.  it included a text message telling me to call 512-444-5555 (Austin).

2 many calls from this #!!!! I have no idea who it is. the 1st time they called, my dad answered it, so I had no idea what the h**l they wanted but whatever. THEY BETTER NO CALL BACK EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Missed phone call from this number on October 15th, 2007 at 4:16PM, didn't think anything of it because there was no message.

Received phone call on October 16th at 5:39PM, (yesterday evening).
Sounded hispanic or latino, not very well educated, (if at all).
Asked me to do a survey about pharmacies. I agreed since I was driving home from work and had nothing better to do-that is the last time I will ever do that! He asked what pharmacy I used most often and I told him CVS. He then hinted that I've used another pharmacy in the past 3 months, Krogers. I have so I admitted to it. He then proceeded to have me compare the 2 pharmacies as if he was a pharmacy representative for Kroger's. The survey was normal, until the ending. He started asking me personal questions such as my household income, how many in the household. Once I said there was one in the household, he kept on referring to me as "living by myself" and asked me why, which then led to him asking me if I was single. Then he started asking me even more personal questions about my age, ethnicity, especially if I was latino or hispanic, if I was dating anyone, and asking to get to know me via email or in person. I felt very violated and got offensive, asking him the main purpose of this call and how he knew me. He then hung up. I felt very violated.
I'm not going to lie, I'm a little scared. If he has my number and records that I've used Krogers within the past 3 months, then he knows where I live and probably work. I visited Kroger's today  and was informed that they have no such survey and that the number is from California and has nothing to do with them. They boosted my confidence by saying the guy was probably making up knowing that I had shopped there, but I'm still not so sure. I even tried calling the number back and there's a recording saying it's disconnected. Very strange.
If this is happening to other people as well, isn't there something that we can do? I also have a theory. Could this be linked to myspace or something similar to that? My profile is private but I'm sure people can still hack into it.

An individual called stating he is taking a survey regarding movies.  After speaking with him for approx. 3 mins., he rushed me off the phone.  I telephoned AT&T trying to get information about the call.  The person I spoke with stated she feels it was just a telemarketer and she is umable to give out any information regarding the number due to the privacy laws.

always call later in evening, latest on 05/07/07 @ 7:12pm. from santa anna, ca. no one every there, so we let anwering machine pick up and they hang up. cannot find any other info on this #

I got a call May 7th 5:14. I have also got a call for this number in the past. Called back and also got the message that the number was disconnected.

I just got a call from this number and immediatley decided to look the number up. I have in the past gotten calls from this number, and I would like it to be stopped. It appears that whomever is on the other side, waits for you to say "hello" and then they hang up. I decided to do a little test, and call back. Well, it apears that the number is "disconnected"-at least that's what the machine said. The machine SOUNDED like it was a recording of an automessage that was set to the machine, I almost felt like I heard people in the background.

this number has called so many times i've lost count. it either calls when no one is home or no one on the other end says anything. for some reason, we've all of a sudden started getting TONS of calls from a multitude of different numbers like this. my whistle is ready for the ones to come.
