I got a call from this number, let it roll to voice mail, and it was "Joe Johnson" who left a message that I call him back right away about a debt I owed. I don't owe anyone anything and since I read this I cannot see the advantage of getting into it with a stranger, but I would stay away from anyone saying they are owed money when you don't know them.

I also got call from Joe Johnson who said I owed a collection from something my old business partner did after I left the business. I confirmed with the company who had the pending bill that my name was not at all related to the account. When I called Joe back to tell him, he said I needed to help him collect from my old partner then or he threatened to put it on my credit report anyway. It showed up a few months later on my report and now I have to fight it. This man is a crook!

Joe Johnson said I was listed as the contact for someone who apparently owes money. Is he allowed to call someone listed as an emergency contact?!?!

Collection agency. I owed the money, the insurance was supposed to pay but they didn’t. The guy’s name was Joe Johnson. He helped by calling the insurance company, and getting information on what was going on.

I also got harrassed by Joe Johnson! I wish I would have read this before wasting my time trying to work with this guy. In the end, I found out he was trying to get me to pay nearly $1,000 on an old debt that I had been unaware of that was actually only for a few hundred dollars. What a scam artist!

Collection agency, guy named Joe Johnson. This guy tried all sorts of scare tactics to get me to pay him an amount of money that was far and above the actual amount owed, that turned out to just be a small billing error from the company in question.
