Got this call at work. Didn't bother picking up. If it is from Cox, then they are dumb. My area isn't even serviced by them.

this number has called me atleast SEVEN times in the past TWO WEEKS and have NOT left any voicemails. called back and recieved an answering machine saying its cox communications and they're currently unavailable...seconds after they called. they offer new bundles to "save more" and that there's only a week left to take advantage yadda ya. they dont give up. they usually call past the appropriate time a company should call (ie: 7:45pm?) the first thing that pops up in my head about this number is con artists!

I received 3 calls from them now. They never leave a message, and if you answer the call, there's nothing but dead air. No one is there! I called the number back today at 3:00pm EST and got a recording saying it's Cox Communications and that the office is currently closed. I have never been late, and I only have the internet. I did just cancel the free maintenance trail. Just a few days after that I started to receiving these calls.??

Comes up as Beuna Park, CA. Caller hangs up after 3 rings. If it is Cox, I am not interested in talking to them; They provide a monthly service and I pay them accordingly - if I wanted more, I'd let them know. Basically, Don't call us, we'll call you :P

I called them back and it is a Cox sales center that specializes in trying to re-sell bundles to people who have cancelled their cable (as I have, it's too pricey). They seemed surprised to get a call back, are polite, but insistent and go with the hard sell

If Jim is right about this number being listed as a Cox number, I'm guessing it's about a late payment. My phone is showing the same number under "missed calls".
