How can we stop these undesired text messages that cost money when people don't have a texting plan?

I don't want these text messages to continue, what can I do to make it stop or who do I report it to?

Received second harassing text message spam this morning: "If you are $10,000 or more in credit card debt, you can qualify for our Debt Settlement program. Stop paying all that high interest..text "YES" to learn more."
If I receive one more I am going to call the Huntington Beach police department and file a harassment report.

I have no idea why I am getting text messages from this number. I do not have texting on my plan so I'm charged for each message. How can I find out who's sending the message and how can I stop it.

I recieved a call from this company also. But when I went to the complaint form none of the listings really matched this call and the info asked for was not relivent to this issue.

text them back to STOP sending the text messages. at least, that's what i did. i feel if i do nothing, that is also consenting to keep letting them harass me.
like Cecil says, go online to fill out the form from the link he/she provided, and email it to fccinfo@fcc.gov
you may also be able to fill out the online form (1088G-R) here:
https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do?form_page=1088G
PLEASE REPORT THEM TO THE FCC and let's put them behind bars

This number sent a txt message to me and am wondering how they got my number. This type of operation should be nothing but highly illegal, a felony
