This company is the Crossfire Newspaper Group.  They are contracted by local publishers to cold call people to get subscriptions.  I just cancelled my Contra Costs Times subscription last week after 25 years due to increased fees on every bill.  Now the calls from this Telemarketer have begun.  The website for this company is http://www.crossfirenewspapergroup.com/.  They can be reached at 1-(800) 852-7923.  They said they would remove my number from their list.    We will see.  I will continue to call them as much as they call me if it doesn't stop.  Please contact them to get your number off the list.

My story is the same as most others.  I receive calls from this number identified as Cross Fire.  They never leave a message.  Even when I answer, no one comes on the line.  This is borderline harrassment from some company in Wisconsin that I have never heard about before.  Does anyone know what the home number of the CEO is?  I'd like to call him around 3am to discuss his business practices.

If you call the number back they will answer and I gave the guy our number and he said he took it out of their system!

They call several times a day and never leave a message.  When I did answer they said they are the selling for the pioneer press.  She offered me a deal and when I said I would be interested in Sunday only, she said give me your information and I will get  supervisor to ask them.  Why would I give out all my information to a number coming up as CrossFire in Wisconsin?  Really what a poor job at selling.  Pioneer press has made a poor choice with outsourcing this to a low bid company obviously.  Make it stop!

Pioneer Press, St. Paul MN.  Call up the paper and get to a real person and ask to be put on the do not call list. It will take awhile since they use various telemarketing firms across the US. I expressed great frustration since the last call I received like this was a company sued for fraud.

When I answer the call drops. Nice. Glad I can look out here to find losers like this. I took their paper, and since I cancelled, get calls ALL the time. Leave me alone!

I have just filed a complaint on the National Do Not Call website. Hopefully that will end the calls.

they call me 2-3 times a day.. i have told them at this number and at another number for st paul pioneer press that i was not interested in renewing my subscription but they continue to call 2-3 times a day. they are relentless. this is annoying

I have been getting these everyday, nights, mornings.  Just filed a complaint with the BBB.  They have about 37 complaints under sales practices - other.  Must be the same problem.  Asked for the resolution to be pay my cell phone bill for every month I got a call from their representatives.  I may not get anything but perhaps it will get me off their list.  I am also sending a written complaint to the State Attorney General.
Perhaps if  everyone files a BBB complaint they will get the message.

You suggest I call 651-222-1111, which gave me the Toll Free number 1 (800) 950-9080 for the St. Paul Pioneer Press advertising department. I told the lady I don't appreciate getting these calls on my cell, so she took my number and said it would be taken off of a calling list. This was for the calls from 715-254-0345.

I googled the 651-222-1111 to get that 800 number, by the way, so I didn't have to dial anyone and reveal another phone number to their computer...

They are calling me too.  I do not answer and they do not leave a message.  I am sick of telemarketers.  I want to venture a guess why these idiots are calling people in California.  I live in Roseville, MN (just outside of Saint Paul, where the Pioneer Press is located) and I know there is a Roseville, California.  If this true, this sales company needs to hire people with atleast a 3rd grade education and get rid of the morons they have now.
