This number was on my caller ID so I returned it. A man by the name of Mr. Garner answered. Asked me for the phone they called so I gave it to him. He said that my number wasn't in their system and that someone must have manually dialed it. I asked him what company he was from and all he said was..."I don't have the time for this" and he hung up. Refused to tell me the company name.

Did anyone get the name of the collection agency?

I received an automated call from this number asking for somebody else who (apparently) used to have this number more than 5 years ago! "Press 1 if you are (this person) or press 2 if you are not." I knew if I pressed 2 it would just hang up so I pressed 1. The person who answered had that "I'm with a collection agency, you MUST listen to me" attitude. I told her to stop calling my number. She asked me how to reach the other person and I replied "Who is that? Find out her number and call her, not me!" Her response was that "We have never called you before." What difference does that make? I hung up on the rest of what she was saying. She never identified herself or her company. I do not have caller ID so I used *69 which means this call cost me money.

FRAUD! Do not give out any information to this person! He says he is with a credit card company and wants you to verify your social security number and that you have an outstanding balance!
I called the credit card company (Chase) and the phone number is not listed with them.
I called Chase Fraud to report the number!
