This Man who clls from this number.....716-215-1575 Caller ID 'Bryant" gett's off on harassing who ever answers the phone. All the other comments ARE true. He never identifies who he is or who he represents, or who he wants to talk to!! I know for sure he is full of beans because I just finished my bankruptcy, and my debts have been discharged. By the way I passed all this information to my Attorney and the local news!!
Please loose my number and never call it again......letting the phone ring once and then hang up is your waste of time not mine. I'm on disablity buddy, I have all day to play : )

common sense please.
Why would anyone call you and expect you too take care of your responsibilities if you simply met them the first time then they would not be trying to contact you. just as if you met them the second time they would not be trying to contact you. Facts are Facts, we live in a culture where we blame everyone else for our problems and refuse to take responsibilty for our own actions....
crying on a message board because you want to make someone else look bad who tried to work it out with you despite being lied to multiple times, and tried to give you a reasonable way of working out a solution or asking you to stop wasting your money on drug and alcohol use and get professional help is not being unkind , unsympathetic or rude. It is the act of someone who has listened to you and offered real solutions to assist you so that you can regain control of your finances and emotions.
I care and was raised the right way - I know right from wrong, Good From Evil , Honest From Dishonest and I truly care when someone is having difficulty and on many occasions have offered settlement for 10% of the money owed or even told clients that they should not get upset and just relax and contact me when they could make arrangements... Or simply told them to tell me that they honestly refuse to pay so I can stop following up on their broken promises.
Its' really as simple as this.. if you do not want to pay simply say I have no intention of paying this acct. I refuse to pay! and stop wasting everyones time and effort. If you want sympathy for you plight tell the truth and do not try to pay your bills with checks that are no good and use debit cards with no funds. Credit needs to be used wisely and People should consider this before they spend thousands of dollars on credit cards with high interest and then rely on lowpaying unskilled jobs to give them the power to repay debt that is out of control. Also, don't lie on your application for credit, dont put down references and employment information that is not true or that you dont intend on having being verified .
Parents, please dont enable your children to put you down as consigners, authorized users, or references if you really are not close to your children.
In closing, credit recipients who have preexisting of substance abuse, alcohol abuse mental health issues or have emotional issues which prevent them from being whole should see a proffessional who can help you.
because my personal experience has told you that when you show compassion and give them patience and understanding and tell them "dont worry it's just a bill " and contact me when we can work it out etc. they will flip it around and blame you for their problems when they have problems with other people.Reply !

You refer to" this Stern as leaving a very "stern" message but he simply kept the reason for his call confidential and called within 8am to 9pm legal window. So whats the problem??
| The Truth 2011-06-06 20:55:30 Unknown |
Where is the rat? You say he called trying to locate your son instead of googling him? Maybe he was followingup on references he had on the application for credit before your son skipped out on his loan responsibilty to make restitution??
Why would he have to call you if your son kept the terms of his loan. There would be no need for telephone contact.

Same thing....dude called an elderly relative's number (obviously fishing) and left a very "stern" message. He used my name and made it sound as if a return call from me was imperative, but left no details other than the name "Michael Stern" and the -9946 number. The number 716-335-9XXX has been left many times over the last few months, usually promptly at 8 a.m. , and I'm sure it is related to debt collection.

This Michael Stern calls me every week or so now. He claims it is to collect a debt for my husband. He originally called 2 months ago and I ran out and took out a loan out on my car to pay the debt. Thank god I looked on the internet before I paid the debt. Turns out this guy and his company are trying to claim false debts. I wont answer my phone.

I got a message from this Mike Stern guy last night and had every intention of returning the call this AM. Until I read the comments posted on this site. Sure enough, he referenced a very distant relative who I hadn't seen in about 40 years and was looking for my son. Well this is interesting because he could have googled my son and found him without breatking a sweat. I smelled a rat and thanks to you good folks I can avoid this creep.

first of all - all these people whine and cry about collection calls to collect valid debts that they have defaulted on.. then they complain when they are asked to pay and huddle up at sites like these on the internet to tell blatant lies to make themselved look good when the facts speak for themselves. If the loans or debts where paid in the first place there would be no need for any type of third party collections. Secondly, most of these debts are older so the people have had more than years to pay these bills that they defaulted on in hardship times. Thirdly, complaining about people trying to offer you a deal to settle the debt for pennies on the dollar to just avoid paying it is nonsense. Some of these people have 500.00 balances unpaid that they have refused to make a payment on in 3 years and yet the same "debtors" own nice homes and cars and are employed and self employed and still refuse to pay their bill and spend all of their time crying out like victims when they would not spent 5 minutes over 3 years to pay off the 500 delinquent debt or even send a small payment. People this is America, the most litigous nation on earth... only here can we complain about a fast food chain for selling us food that makes us fat or creditors and their agents who try to get their money back t hat we as debtors had no intention of ever paying back.... Get in line for the handout!! teach your children that its ok to steal with your signature and watch this nation sink even lower. ABSURD!!!! Just pay your Bills!!!!!!!!!!
