This company has been calling me for years, for a debt that is over 10 years old which I have paid.  When they tell me to press 1 to speak to someone, I do and then they hang up and I cannot call them back.  They call every day AM or PM with the same message all the time.  Lately the calls have been not as often but they do call often.  I did talk to a person once but they didn't answer my questions.  Now I can't get anyone to talk to because as soon as the rescording stops and they supposedly transfer me the line goes dead.

Got a call from Zenith Acqusitions today claiming I owe thousands of dollars on a credit card account I never had. The guy was yelling at me, threatening me and putting words into my mouth. Eventually I hung up on him and called the credit card company he was claiming I owed money to. They looked up my complete info and said there's no evidence that I ever had an account with them. THEY told me to just ignore the calls and report them for fraud, which I just completed this afternoon. I will not be answering any more calls from them, and if I did, I would take "Geoff's" advice, and just laugh at them.

asked for someone by first name only....wouldnt leave company name or his name. I placed number straight to my VM for future calls.

Brain-dead zombie debt collectors called "Zenith Acquisitions."  Tons of complaints have been filed against these losers and they specialize in illegally pursuing time-barred debts.  They are not a law firm, they are not affiliated with the government, and they have nothing in their arsenal but threats and intimidation.  Just hang up on them, ignore them, or laugh at them.

I received a phone call on Saturday and refused to pick it up because I did not identify the number.  The collection agency because I filed a Federal Trade Commission debt collector complaint against it. Zenith did not want to mail my monthly account statement; but, now that the federal government is involved the agency wanted to call me on Saturday, a non-business day.

comes accross as unknown, but is venus aquistion. wants us to pay for a debt already settled 2 years ago. we sent them a snail mail letter and calls stopped for about 2 weeks. now they are calling again , even right up to 9 pm.

Yes.  I got the same thing.  Never give out your SS # in any form.  They say it is reference to a debt.  I do not have a debt.   There are many red flags.  They will not send you written confirmation.

received call regarding same last name, same first name, they left reference number, but when we called them they still asked for last 4 digits of soc. sec. no.; we refused since we didn't know who we were talking to; they were not helpful with helping us understand what the problem was or identifying the source name or address of who they were trying to reach; they just said if we don't know what they were referring to, then we have nothing to worry about...don't give your last 4 digits of soc. sec. no. if you don't know what it's about, otherwise you may have something to worry about.
