Just got the same as everyone else. I have NY #. After reading posts, I believe it rings back so they can call you later to try to sell you something. I have my # on no call list. One way they can contact you is if you do business with the company or any subsidiaries. I'm thinking since it rings back like you are calling them, it gives them the go ahead to call you. Let's see if they call me back.

Our office has received calls from 716-874-5374 and 716-875-4466 representing "716 Services", asked if we were a tech company (which we are) and hung up.

Got a call from this number and when I answered, the line started ringing as if I'd made a call. I quickly hung up, thinking it was making a costly 900 call or some such.

They just tried selling me something. I just said please take us off your calling list. The lady was very polite and sweet. No harm, just an annoyance.

Same thing has happened to me a couple of times , i thought it might be someone from craigs list who i showed a guitar to . very srange , when i called the number back they hang up . Has any body else been selling stuff on craigs list if so i think i might know who it is . Well , or maybe not , just a suspician i guess .

Just had the same NEW YORK caller ID, answered like I normally answer the phone for the business, it started ringing, then hung up.

Rec'd strange ph call from - [716-845-4466] - listened said nothing, then it started ringing, and then hung up. Almost like an attempt to charge you for their long distance ph call. We'll need to monitor this! Caller ID name of NEW YORK CALL.
