Starting with you. I pay my bills. I have no debts. I have a CREDIT on my charge card. How about you? Remember what mom said. . . "If you don't have anything nice to say. . ."

If this company is a scam, how do you explain this? It's an official judgement filed by this company. I found it online and you all can to. Also, how does a scam stay in business for 8 years? They have the same address, same phone numbers. If this company is so bad I'm sure they would be shut down by now. You all need to stop thinking everything is a scam. I owed a debt, they contacted me, I did my research( which you can all do as well instead of believing some b.s. complaint sight) and then I paid them. I gave a debit card over the phone. I received a paid letter and I have had no problems. I challange anybody on this forum to find 1 collection agency that doesn't have the same kind of negative comments attached to their phone numbers. You can't do it. I already tried. It's people like all of you that have ruined America.

Wow! This websight is deadbeat central. None of you pay your bills but you all have computers and internet. It's called stealing when you borrow money and don't pay it back. Your All Going To Hell!

New year same scam.  Called a cell number with a claim against a relative that doesn't exist about litigation in CA.  BBB rates an F.  Don't waste your time.

They keep harassing me about contacting my mother n law. I need this to stop.

Calls from (716) 923-7677 were received at both my residence and my cell phone. The female caller stated in messages that she was calling as a representative of Hoffman, Weinberg, & O'Brien, LLC. They were debt collectors threatening suit against my former sister-in-law. I have been divorced from her brother since 1995! My current husband and I are both law enforcement so our telephones numbers are NOT listed or published in the phone books. This is a sad excuse for a debt collector and even more pathetic they prey on former relatives by marriage from over a decade ago! I sincerely hope that the state they are located in has a BBB and a DA who would be happy to hear complaints. I can only image how nasty they are to the elderly...

calling about my grandson?  what for I do not know.  said he had been mailed time sensitive documents and gave me a case number, told me they would have to file charges in 24 hours.  for what?? how did they get my number??  how do they have any address for him? he gets his mail at a friends home in another city.  this is strange and somehow stinks!

Received threatening phone call to my workplace (which is illegal) and say I needed to have my attorney contact them immediately to discuss "an issue" I supposedly had failed to take care of.  No company mentioned and return number was given as an 800 number.

Received several calls from this idiot of a company.   She has somehow gotton my families number stating if I do not pay immediatley she is going to press a lawsuit immediatley against me.   When I spoke to the idiot Mrs. Watson, she refused to tell me who I owed, what it was for, but she continues to contact me and tell me to pay now.    What is for? unknown, and how much, unknown.   Asked to mail me the info, she refuses,.. I am still waiting to go to court.  I contacted the courhouse in my county and they laughed at me.    Apparrently NEW YORK is the only state to sue in other states, but cannot tell you why.

A man called this morning from this number, seemed a bit hostile was looking for someone with my same last name, I told him I've had my number for over 15 years to which he then informed me I was listed as an associate and they were preparing a case against the other individual with the same last name and I could be implicated.  I promptly told him I could not help him and I hung up.  Glad I googled this site, definitely a SCAM!

They have called me also about a debt that has reached the statute of limitations in my state. They use illegal tactics to get you to pay old debts, even if they do not belong to you. All of the workers are rude and unprofessional. I have reported them to the BBB, but they will not respond to my complaint and they keep calling me, even though I gave them my cease and desist notice. Do not talk to these people!!!

Calling me saying there is a civil suit filed against me.

I have received numerous calls from this lady who starts out by saying the City I live in has filed a complaint against me and would I like to hear more about it.  Then she launches into a tirade about how I owe some credit card I've never heard of a debt and that I have 24 hrs to pay them or they will have me served at my job.  I recorded today's conversation and turned it over to a lawyer that has had 3 cases against them this year alone.  He said it's a total scam and keep records if they call me again.  Whatever you do, Don't pay them!!!  It's a total scam!

They keep calling me saying that my contact information is associated with someone that owes them money.  I have no way of getting in contact with the person they are looking for and I have told them that.  However, they continue to call...every single day.

A Tamara Smith has been calling me several times leaving messages for me to call her direct # of 866 450 5702 ext 112 Case# US 62534-CA within 24 hours and if she doesn't hear from me there will be a Civil Complaint filed on this case.  She states sheis with Hoffman Weinburh and Obrien.  Im so tired of this  Heffer calling me.  She calls when Im at work but I cant answer the phone because Im on the phone already doing customer service work.    The main number that shows up is 716 923 7677.

This number called me today and told me that I was put as the emergency contact for my mother and was this information correct. I thought that something had happened to my mom and I got so scared! Then she started going on about this legal case and owing money, ALL LIES!

Do not trust anything they say!

One of my employees was called by this company using this number 716-923-7677. Claimed be trying to settle a suit for his late Father. Called and harassed his wife at home and his cellphone. Appears to be a big scam from all I can tell. Very sad people!

Just ot same type of call but regarding my 94 yo mother.

I also received a call from this number, saying my name was given for reference by someone I do not know. Obvious to me, this is a scam; just google the phone number, and there are many connected with this so-called company. I am a retired attorney and I will be reporting this to everywhere I can think of, albeit, looking at the results of my search, it seems these people use many reasons and many phone numbers. Enough is enough!

Lady called today, said i was the contact for an Eric Been. I didn't know any Eric Beens and stated she would take me off his contact information???

It looks like there are other suites available for rent from the building owner at 895-RENT.  I'm guessing the area code is 716.  I wonder if they are late on rent.  Wouldn't hurt to call and ask a few times a day.

I got a call from this on my cell asking for someone I never heard of.  they want to know how long I have had this number (years) and if I knew the person. No to  both.  Later got a recorded call on my land line looking for same person but used number 8774379481..  Noone indicated what it was for.
I called the number back and it is just busy.

I received a call from this woman last night also asking if i was a relative of David Baker. I told her no she asked me for my address and i would not  give it to her so she said she would take me off the list.

Called asking for a David Baker a relative of mine.  Called my cell then my office.  Don't know anyone by this name.  Fraud; don?t take any calls from them.  I will also be reporting this to the BBB.

They just called me for my husband also I thought that it was illigal for them to say they are going to file suit unless they really are but by the sounds of it they tell everyone they call that they are going to. what is not ok with me is that they are trying to collect an old debt the collector hasnt sent any notification & they are refusing to give a physical address where to send payment to she said we have to get a pr-paid credit card.

I get about three to four calls a day from this number.  I don't answer them anymore.  They initially told me the same thing, they are prepping a court case and I need to get legal representation unless I want to get into trouble.  Yeah right.

They say I owe several thousand dollars from a debt in 1993.  Debt is not on my credit report, therefore it's not legit.

I got two phone calls from this number today asking for Janet Adams.  The woman wanted to know if the number she called was a new number for me, but I've had the same cell number for years.  She then went on to ask if I was sure I didn't know this Janet Adams.  I'm wondering if she dialed the wrong area code...

Caller certainly had access to some very old personal information. Seemed like it could be legit. Glad I googled the number to find out it's a scam. Still, it was very disturbing. Could definitely pass for extortion.
