This is a huge scam and I have been harrassed by this company on my home number and my cell, and were extremely rude to my mom when she told them I didnt want to talk to them. The company is called Travel Options, I filled out the ballot at a bridal show. I sure hope they are at the next bridal show I attend.

Same thing happened to me today, asked for my credit card # and expiration date to confirm a reservation.. I just said I didn't have it with me, and said it was weird that I just "won" a trip but only had 10 minutes to confirm a $600 down payment and without giving it I "lost the trip" what a f-ing scam. They got my info from a car show I went to where I filled out a form to win a prize of some sort... I will never do that again!

This is 100% a scam. I received a call at approximately 2:00pm March 1st, saying I had won a trip, which was cool because I had recently attended the international auto show in Toronto and had entered many a contest there. The person said that they could call me back at 4:30 pm when I was free, but did not call me back. Curious I called back saying I got my call at two, the person didnt sound like the first person on the phone and said that I called yesterday then said they were calling me back.. (well actually I called you) very confused I hung up. Do not give credit card information over the phone.

Got a call last night and today telling me I won a trip from a ballot I filled out at our local fall fair, it seemed legit until the pushy telemarketer asked for my credit card info, when I told him to send me info first then we would go from there as I was not comfortable giving my card out over the phone, he then got aggressive and pushed and pushed until I said no to the vacation.  He also mentioned that during this wonderful trip I would only have to attend a time share demo....yeah ok!  SCAM SCAM SCAM!

Got a call from this number and the same company called from a restricted number. Apparently the company is called Oasis Travel. Definite scam. I went to a comic convention in NYC and filled out a raffle. They said they pulled my ticket from there and gave me the same info you all heard. Don't fall for it, BS!!!

Called and used the email and information of Costa Rica Tourism, which has been in shows, (legitimately)
BUT turned out he was with 888-582-8228 and 718-228-1764 and 212-444-8699. They ask for your credit card...do not give it. We should all call and tie up their lines. I have a called a couple of times, saying I don't know about my prize, and then I hang up.

Well I just got a call from another 718 number this afternoon saying somehting about me winning a trip to Bahamas for 2. All I did was ask for some hardcopy information to be sent to my email. They requested $349 per ticket. Did anyone receive anything in their inbox? If so, what did it say?

Went to a beer festival, entered a raffle for which I couldn't remember what it was for....got a call last night, saying that I won a trip to the Bahamas for a cruise. Pretty much the same as everyone here has said, same number, $2500, $299 up front, some pressure, etc. Sounded fishy, so I held off and did some research. The website looks legitimate, but I checked out the Better Business Beaureau, and they get an F. Called them back and also got a busy tone. The lady also had an accent, which made it hard to understand, talked very fast. She also said I could book in the next 18 months, maybe to make it sound more legit.

Good to know this isn't legit.

I recently went to a convention which cost $20, While there I entered a contest to win A trip. A few days later I received a call from someone who said I won the trip to the Bahamas! I was so excited and then he began to tell me that all I needed to do was pay $299 PER PERSON. $149 in port fees, and airfare for 1 person. ( they give 2 for 1 airfare). Also said I had to do some type of tour. If you win something , it should be free....scam!!

I was called by the number (718)228-1764 and was told I won a trip to Florida and Bahamas and they wanted me to pay $299.  I wasnt in a position to research the company, and they said it needed to be done immediately.  In a rush, I gave them my credit card number, and they gave me a callback number 1-800-231-1298.

Feeling a little skeptical, I ran to the bank 30 minutes later only to find I was charged $449, $149 and additional charges were being added to a total of $1200.  Not only that, both numbers either have a busy tone or put me on hold for an hour.  Also, the reservation code they gave me is one digit too long for their site: book4florida.com

needless to say I closed my account and it's now being investigated.  Not sure if I'll get my money back though.

I called back this number and asked to be taken off from their calling list after repeated calls.  I told them they could have my number but not my name, and they refused to take me off.  I told them I would be reporting it.  They said to let them know when they call back to me again!

I went to the bridal show in Toronto this past weekend and I also got a same call about winning a trip valued at $2500, they want to send us the info package, but needed me to provide a credit card to pay the $598 promotional cost.  They claim to be Imperisl Vacation and Carnival Cruise and gave me their customer number.  I told them I would call them back and hold the promotion for just 5 minutes, but wouldn't let me off the phone. But yes, if you won't something, you shouldn't have to pay anything upfront.  It's definitely a scam.

yea i entered this contest at a bridal show the offer seemed great the girl calling me seemed legit but if i won something why would i have to pay upfront for the price? She said that everything was recorded for security i gave her my address and stuff bc i thought she would send me some info or something but my credit card number?  IDK!  I told her i'd have to think about it she said she'd call me tommorow if there was an actual office or something okay but...it just seems sketchy now!

I am a con runner for GottaCon (www.gottacon.com) and I got a call from this company last night.  They try to talk con owners into letting them set up a booth to advertise their agency and in return offer to give away a trip and provide other nice give aways such as ipods etc.  Sounded like a scam to me but I took their info so I could investigate further.  They claim to be JAD Travel but didn't have a website...what kind of travel company doesn't have a website??

I spoke to a Jen Donohua and a David Biedick (spelling??)

Anyway the short of it is, they try to play on con organizers weakness for needing cash by selling vendor booths.  I am guessing that they show up, advertise, take a whole bunch of info in "raffle ticket entries" then use that info to try and scam people.  Lets face it most gamers are pretty trusting people (and some of the best human beings I know) so they do make a nice target.  To quote the lady on the phone last night "...game cons, we make a killing at game cons!"

I don't know if they are legit or not but I am not going to find out.  Anyway that is what I have to say on this.

I attended an event on 11/15/08. There was a table at the entrance collecting raffle entries from people who attended. 2 days later I receive a phone call from 718-228-1764 a Desiree who claims I won the raffle I entered at the Big Apple Comic Book Convention. She then proceeds to claim I won a vacation and needed my Visa #.
This is a scam, do not believe for one moment you won anything at all. I will be contacting the folks below to why they are attempting to scam their customers who paid $20 for their convention. It is shady, unacceptable and i hold them responsible for the vendors they accept. Let them know if your info was used if you attended this event.
