It's a telemarketer telling you you've won a prize from a drawing you entered at a craft show. What irked me was they told me I'd entered a drawing for a free trip, but that wasn't it. What I entered was the door prize drawing at the craft show. When you follow through with it, they expect you to pay them money for "processing fees".

This number keeps showing up on my caller ID, but they never leave a message. Tried doing a reverse phone number search, but all I can find is that it's set up through some company called "Teleport Communications" - I think I'll pass on trying to call in back.:)

Just like "Hmm" above - I just got a call from some woman saying that I had "won a Florida vacation" and all I had to do was pay $300.
While the offer sounded awesome, I was really skeptical about shelling out $300 to some random people and giving my credit card number out over the phone.
I think it is one of those situations in which it sounded too good to be true therefore it probably was.

called, saying I had the offer to get plane tickets from a draw I had entered. Insisted repeatedly I give them my credit card number and payed the $299.00 per person over the phone. I had told the "caller" I wasn't going to give my credit card info over the phone due to so many scams going on but they kept on insisting I give her my credit card info. I eventually told the lady I was not going to give her my info and hung up. I searched the internet and found that the number is run from a company by the name of "Teleport Communications Group" out of New York, NY.
