Two calls today, Caller Id says Unknown, I don't answer any calls with unknown name or unknown number

Talked to supervisor at this number; was told that he works for marketing company in Wisconsin that is one of several hired by Verizon which EVERY WEEK gives each of the companies that sell their products a listing of all those people not using their services....and it does not matter how many times you tell them to please stop calling, no notes are taken about your request and each week Verizon sends out a new listing which when received by the marketing company has no idea you've been called before and asked not to be called anymore.  We were called by this same number, and kept the log of each call, those we answered and those we did not, an additional 42 more times after FIRST time we told them to please stop calling us and FIVE times after begging this supervisor to put us on a do not call list last week.  He told us that there is nothing he can do about this.....told me I can try writing directly to Verizon at their corporate office, which I did, but still  but no reply.  And received another call a few minutes agao....apparently no way to stop these calls.

They keep calling us to. Tried to call the # back and it says not in service. Pretty annoying.

Keep getting calls from this number so far today they have called 10 times today alone.  They never leave a message so cant be a very important.

I got daily calls from this number while not home.  One day, I was home and answered.  It was from a FIOS salesperson, trying to get me to convert from Cablevision.  After trying to politely end the conversation with this smooth pitchman, I told him I was happy with my current situation.  He said he wanted me to be VERY happy.   I said he could start by not calling my number any more , and I hung up.  Big mistake.  It's been a month, and I get 1-2 calls a day from this number.  I blocked the number with my phone, and I see the number daily in the missed calls list.  So much for him wanting me to be happy.

I get the same calls!  Found out that it is a "robot"  calling system used by telemarketing companies that track when is the time to call when we're home!  It's not meant to say anything, just report if someone picked up the phone.  I called my phone company and had this number blocked.

Same deal; calls the house a few times and hangs up immediately.  Best thing to do about this is go to donotcall.gov and have everyone file a complaint about the number.  I'm sure they'll take notice seeing the same number has been bugging us plenty of times!

Yesterday about 7:30 pm, I answered a call from this number and was told it was a survey for Verizon Fios. I told them I was not interested in switching my provider and because I'm listed on the do no call list, I want these calls to cease. I received another call from this number an hour later and have gotten two more today. When I try to answer, the party hangs up.

They call at least 3 times a day and no one is there.  I want to stop them, it is annoying

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL YOU PEOPLE.  DO NOT CALL DOES NOT COVER A NUMBER THAT SHOWS THEIR NAME - OR AREA  AND A  PHONE NUMBER.  YOU HAVE TO PUT IT ON YOUR PHONE NUMBER - ASK YOUR PHONE COMPANY HOW TO DO IT IT DOESN'T COST ANYTHING EXTRA AND WORTH NO CALLS.  SO TRY THAT AND STOP ASKING DNC TO DO IT.

Janet DO NOT CALL is for unknown name and unknown number (except organizations and gov. calls) if it shows a number and location  they can call you.  Suggest you put their number on your phone company's site and then they can't get thru unless use a diff number

Called twice, strong indian accent, could not understand the man of hte other end. Hung up after each time of my screming for an answer

So what are we gong to do about it?  I have used my handset to block the number so that it only rings once (3-4 times a day) but I was thinking of calling my phone company to have it bnlocked in the system so that they don[t even get in that first annoying ring!!

I am being bombarded by calls from this number, over and over, four times today.  One night it was after 10:00 p.m.  How can I stop it?

Received several calls per day from 646-837-5596.  No answer...just dead air.
When you call back, they say the subscriber mailbox is full.

I get calls several times per day from this number.  They never leave a message and if I answer, they never speak and hang up on me.   I would like this to stop.   I just saw that this is happening to many people.  Some people said it is Verizon trying to sell Fios?   I don't care what it is, but it is highly annoying.

Keep receiving calls from this number, probably 3-4 times a day. No one says anything when the call is picked up, and when you call the number back it says that the subscribers mailbox is full. It is becoming a form of harassment. The caller ID only identifies it as New York, NY.

This call is from Verizon.  Call their contact number.  Instead of listening and going through all the click this and click that nonsense, just press 0 to speak with a representative.  He will ask some basic information, such as your phone number, and then put through the disconnection paperwork so you will not be harrassed anymore.  The joke is that this takes anywhere from three weeks to over a month, but all communication from Verizon - mail, phone calls, etc. will stop. I received up to three calls a day with no one at the end of the line.  Once I said "hello," a machine would click and the call would end.   When I redialed the number, I was told this number was no longer in service OR the line was busy.  I am also going to report this to the BBB.   If I continue to receive calls, I will report this to my local TV station to investigate.

I 've been getting 1-2 calls a day from this number 646 837 5596 and when I call it back it says mailbox full, this has happened for the last week, 9 calls that I can count for, maybe more, today I received calls @ 3.27p and 5.27p  and I am suppose to Be on the do not call list
