It's very easy to get rid of these people. Since they claim they are w/the NYPD PBA (Police Benevolent Association), which they are NOT, nicely say this:
1. If you are woman tell them your husband, who is a chief at 1 PP (Police Plaza), will get in touch w/the PBA himself.
OR
2. If you are man, tell them you will get in touch w/your brother, the same chief at 1 PP.
They should get the picture...and if your dh or brother is a chief w/the NYPD, tell him anyway ;)

Called my line asking for the owner of our company - became beligerant and would only give his name as joe - finally alluded to calling on behalf of some police organization fund raiser - when I explained I was the attorney for our company he promptly hung up.

ASK FOR OWNER

Called our office. Asked for owner. When I asked him who was speaking he replied "Eric". He then asked for the owner again, and I asked who was called. The guys started yelling at me telling me I had improper business etiquette then angrily hung up the phone. Scam. Creepy.

"Eric" of "Police Conference of New York" angrily threatened to come over to (stated my address) because I told him I knew he wasn't a police officer.

Rude lady named Leslie Rand asked for owner. Claims to be from PBA, however the PBA NEVER solicits donations by phone. I called and asked them. SCAMMERS!!

Called main business number, asked for owner - said his name was Joe. When I said he wasn't in, he hung up.
