Received a call and they attemped to get information.

I was told that I could get a $300 gift certificate at store online she asked if we had access to internet and said remove me from the list.

I received a call from someone identifying herself as Ariel with CB Research. The caller ID was 719-258-1969. It was the third unwanted call I had gotten today. I immediately said, "Not interested," and hung up. She called right back and when I picked up the call she said, "You don't need to be so rude!" before I hung up again. I want these people to stop calling!

Female asked for me (had my first name slightly wrong but had my last name correct) and advised was doing a quick 60 second research survey. Began asking multiple questions and when I wouldn't provide her with specific details to some of the questions she told me "maybe you shouldn't be so rude" and hung up on me.

I don't live in Colorado but I received a call today from them. The girl talked so fast I didn't catch her name but I did hear the Research part. After answering a few questions, without giving any personal info, I was told my name would be put in a drawing to win $500. They will call me if I win. After reading the others who have been called, I expect to be getting a call back saying I won! I'm not getting sucked into this. Thank you for sharing!

This is a deceptive sales call disguised as a $500 gift certificate. They tell you that someone will call to deliver your gift certificate and if you agree the delivery guy will try to sell you a $3000 vacuum cleaner (yes, that's 3 grand for a vacuum cleaner, for god's sake!). The offending company is Silver King Vacuum Cleaner company. To call and complain or cancel a sales appointment if you got sucked into it, here is their number is 800 864 1658

Just got this same call today, complete scam.  I was told I had won a $500 gift certificate by a woman from CB Research - and a 3 night hotel stay - all for completing a research survey a couple of weeks ago.  I asked her for the website and she said she didn't have one to give ("I don't know the name of it"). I would receive all the information about the $500 gift card and the hotel stay from the delivery man who was going to deliver the "Air2000" for a demonstration in our home.  Same thing, when i started asking more questions, CLICK.  Stay away from this scam, otherwise I have some oceanfront property in AZ i'd like to sell you :)

I received a call this evening from a woman identifying herself as "Amanda" with CB Research. I don't have Caller ID, so I didn't know the number she was calling from. She informed me that I had won a $500 gift certificate and a 2 night hotel stay anywhere in the U.S. All I needed to do was fill out a questionnaire for a product called "Air 2000" that a salesman named "Chris" who had ID, was going to demo for me. Amanda didn't like my probing questions for a web address or information on the company. I SMELLED A RAT!  This was confirmed when I called 719-258-1971 number and I received a busy signal and and an "error in connection" message. I immediately called the police and reported this incident. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE AND HANG UP! THIS IS AN UNADULTERED SCAM!

Total Scam. Hangs up when asked to be placed on do not call list. Then I tried to call back and number is "disconnected". Under guise of govt. survey.

I REC'D A CALL FROM 1 719 258 1971, LATER IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER THEY said SAID were doing research for the ceniUs bureau.  THEY ASK ME A LOT OF INTRUSIVE PERSONAL QUESTIONS, HOWEVER I THOUGHT WELL THEY ARE WITH THE CENEUS BUREAU.
TODAY 12-8-2011, I RECEIVED A SECOND CALL FROM CB RESEARCH, I ASKED QUESTIONS AND THEY SAID THEY HAD BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS, THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO COME TO MY HOUSE TODAY TO DELIVER A $500 GIFT CARD, WHICH I THOUGHT WOULD BE WONDERFUL FOR GIFTS.  I CHECKED THE INTERNET AND FOUND OUT IT WAS SCAM.  I TRYED TO CALL THE GUY TO TELL HIM NOT TO COME.  THE # ON THE NET DID NOT WORK.  I THEN CALLED THE POLICE DEPT TO TELL THEM SOMEONE WAS ON THEIR WAY TO MY HOUSE.  ON THAT TIME THE SALESMAN CALLED TO SAY HE WAS OUTSIDE.  I TOLD HIM I HAD THE POLICE ON THE OTHER LINE.  TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT HE CALLED ME AN AH AND  HUNG UP.

Major scam! The caller I.D. reads CB Research. We recently completed the Census Bureau survey and I thought this was a follow up call.  NOT!  They told me I was one out of two winners in our town that had won $500.00!!! Before she could get any further, I started asking questions and SHE hung up on ME.  Watch out-this is one of many scams!

Answered the call this morning.  Caller ID was "CB Research."  Answered a variety of questions for about 1 minute.

They call regularly, but not every day. Comes up as "Colorado Springs, CO".  I answer because I have family in Colorado Springs, and ya never know...  They ask for my 10yo daughter by her first name which she has never gone by.  Very, very, very creepy.

These are individuals eliciting a scam, they are  trying to obtain any useful personal information from callers a they are able to reach.  Do not provide any information to them they claim to have gifts packages air purifiers etc....... anything to get personal information.  The numbers actually are usually disconnected when you try to call them back.

A girls voice..asking if I was a specific individual, who's last name is registered here, but would only be used because it's a sale's person.. also I heard young people's voices in the background.. children... Yes, it's from Colorado Springs area
