This is an unsolicited phone call and I want them to stop.  They call multiple times a day.

I answered Hello 3 times before he responded. Asked if I was the man of the house or to speak with an owner. Claimed to be Colorado Police something (can't remember exactly). Hung up while I was giving the phone to the owner of the house.

I received a call from 7196235384. when i answered there was no answer. I hung up and called back several times just to recieve this is an invalid extention automated service.

I regularly get calls from this number (probably a couple times a week) but don't answer.  I understand it is some kind of fund raising scam for a supposed Colorado police organization...

I had a call from these guys a few days ago. They claim to be "Colorado Police Detective Organization" and wanted me to buy their 2009 calendar (donation levels were $45, $35 & $25). The money would go towards helping officers' families and the bullet-proof vest program.

I told him that we had a meeting with the police at the neighborhood watch meeting the following night and would ask the police there.

Five days later on Sunday morning (today) they called again and went through the same shtick. I explained that I had mentioned their previous call to the police and they had said to not make any donations over the phone. The caller seemed taken aback and replied that they weren't taking donations and that they represented the police. I said that was fine and I would just double check with the police once more and asked him to confirm the organization's name (see above). I then asked for their phone number. He said he would get the head office's number for me and then hung up.

Note: I didn't really have a meeting with the police but, at genuine meetings last year with our local police, the officer stated that the police would NEVER call to solicit monies and that these people were scammers. If you want to donate to help police officers, just contact your local police station.

I received the same hard pitch, fund raising for a police association of some kind.  But the person would not agree to send me anything in the mail so I could do my own homework about whether I want to be a contributor.  Since then I do not answer when I see the number on caller ID, and they call over and over.    I suppose what I need to do is call them back and tell them to remove me from their list.  But my number is already supposed to be on the Do Not Call list and this really annoys me.

My caller ID says it was from "Local Call" which of course I have a special ring that tells me if it's long distance before I even see the name of the caller.  This is of course a southern Colorado call as opposed to one from the Denver area which (would be a local call to me).

called stating I had promised to send money to a police fund raiser and had sent me a sticker which I didn't send back.  Wanted $12.00 donation.

Have received calls from this number, 1 to two times per day for the past two weeks; out of office for first couple of calls (no voicemail left by caller) and then decided to ignore to see if any message would occur. No message ever left. Decided to check out on line @ 800notes and found these messages indicating this is a less than legitimate caller. Have wrned everyone I know and will have Qwest block number if calls continue.

Got a call with a local call ID listing.  I am not in that area code.  No message left.

This caller has called twice in the past 3 days and we don't know who this is and never leaves a message.

got call 9-9-09, was not home, saw it on caller id.

They spoke to my son and sounded like they knew me, so he told them I wasn't home, thereby verifying my name/phone combination.  My kids have now been warned to not answer that number, even if we are home, and if they do by accident, to just hang up.  Doesn't matter that all possible phone numbers of ours are on the Do Not Call list...

They left no message other than telling him they would call back at a better time.

I received 5 calls from this number in two days the last call I answered, they claim to be the police department looking for money, I told them I was just laid off and could not even pay my bill let alone donate to them. The hung up immediately?.So I see as long as I am serving their purpose they can harass me. It seemed kind of sketchy? perhaps they really are just scoping places to rob. M a k e   M y   D a y! I have not shot anyone since I got back from Iraq.

Same as everyone else. They call every week. Answered once, they wanted money of course.

Have been calling for two years for person that no longer owns my phone number. Told them over and over that person no longer owns the phone and they keep calling. Told them I'm on the no call list and they keep calling. Comes us as "local call" won't identify company. It's a scam. Don't give them cc information.

Received several caller from these folks and never a message. Calls returned identify this number as belonging to the "Fundraising Information Center". Internet searches have only provided me with one possible clue who they are and how to contact them. The "Fundraising Information Center" is listed as an exhibitor on a .pdf brochure distributed by the Dallas/Ft. this number calls all the time and at random times.  I finally called them back - it has a recording that says they are with a child safety and/or police organization.  You  can't just asked to be removed from their call list.  it really stinks - you have to give a recording your number and a representative will return your call.  Yeah - just what you want to do - validate your number for them so they can continue to bother you to give them money for some officers widows/families group  or whatever.

Ditto for us. They've been calling us three or four times a day for several days. We let it go to voicemail, but they leave no message. For us it says it's a local call, but because we live in the 719 area code, that didn't set off an alarm. But because we didn't recognize the  number, we don't pick up.

Someone should find who these people are a bust them.

Caller ID said Colorado Spr CO., we live nearby so I answered thinking it was someone I knew. I said hello, he said "Mrs. xxxx?" and I said yes. That was my second mistake (first was answering the call). Now I had verified information on some list of phone numbers they probably got illegally somewhere.Very aggressive salesman like (maybe trying to sound like police) call asking for donations for Firemen and police killed in the line of duty. Long fast speech with no chance to interupt until he said he had "put me down for the bronze package, unless I would rather reach for the gold" (yuck).

Has called three times, about the same time on different mornings. No one on line when I pick up.  Caller ID only gives name and "Local Number"

Calls me 5 to 6 times a day every month.  Leaves no message. Dead air when trying with calling # 719-623-5384. Want these calls to stop, if the caller thinks it important enough to call me, then theyshould leave a message or quit calling.

received a call, let it go to the machine however my son said that it sounded like someone who knew me .. so I called the number back. Same story .. a pre-recorded voice letting me know that I reached a "fundraising" organization of premier health, children and animal charities.
