Absolutely do not give any information or money to the people calling from 719 623-5387.  You are being targeted by the "hang up" calls to see if you'll pick up your phone, and then you're identified as "being at home."  Then, an official sounding person is trained to ask you for "DONATIONS"...more money for an organization that is already supported by EVERY taxpayer in the city/county.  Do Not Support any endeavor that targets us citizens in this way for more money.

I just got a call and when I called it back I got a recording saying it was a children's fund raiser then it says please follow the prompt....I hung up. I n today's world there will be a lot of phoney calls trying to swindle money..What good is my NO CALL LIST? Everyone be cautious about calls

I received an unsolicited call from this number.  They are some type of fundraising organization.  I am on the 'do not call registry'.  I do not want to receive calls from this number.

They keep calling our number.  They claim they have us to be removed from their list.  But they keep calling anyway.  They are some fund raising group.  I just want them to stop calling our number

I get a call twice a day from this number.  Been happening for 2 or 3 weeks

Its a solicitation from tele-marketers hired by the C.S.P.D. or the E.P.S.D. to solicit donations.
I spent 26+ years in law enforcement and my own police association did it and I complained to the board and was told, "yeah we know, but it helps us raise funds."  They still do it.  

If you want to make a genuine donation, maqke it to the National Law Enforcement Memorial In D.C. they are legit and do a very good job.

The real kicker was when I found out Quest will not allow you to block their number.

This number 719-623-5387 is a fundraising organization. You only get a recording or unending ringing. Don't know why it hangs up...glitch in system but is a call center situation so has automatic dialing. Usually firemen or something similar.

The purpose of this organization is "PROVIDE LEGAL ASSISTANCE AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO MEMBERS OF THE POLICE PROTECTIVE INDUSTRY" per tax report. So they lied about providing death benefits to police who died on the line of duty.

The ratios suck. They had total revenues of $322K. They paid $53K for member benefits, and $92K for officers. Their second largest revenue as well as the largest expense is "Legal Defense Plan."  If I understand correctly, they collect premiums for this plan from their members as legal cost insurance.  I would not go as far as saying that this is to protect the bad cops. But I do believe that it is used far more on questionable cops than good cops.

I can't tell from the tax report where the fund raising cost is. It must be rolled into some big number.

Just got a call from this number, 719-623-5387, today.  Quick-talking man with a somewhat hard voice saying that he was from a police assoc. and that I had pledged to donate a few months ago.  SCAM.  I never would have made such a pledge.

My caller ID shows "Colorado Springs, CO".  I didn't bother to call back after reading all the earlier comments.

Now since I know it is the fake police fundies~

I answered and a female voice said "colorado police association fundraising call," and some numbers as fast as she could, then hung up! Trying to hit her quota?  Nothing better than being bothered by scammers who are too incompetent to even try to scam you...  what scumbags.

I filed a complaint with the FCC - not sure if it will help, but can't hurt.

Solicitation for donations - supposedly for police bullet proof vests. I don't know how, while receiving a cold call, to determine if it's legit, so my technique is to just put the phone down and let them blather as long as they want - i figure just hanging up doesn't waste enough of their time

I recieved a call from this number also, and when I picked up, there was no sound, but ten seconds later, it hung up.

I received a call from this number today with an 'unavailable' name.  I have no idea who this is.

I just got a call from them, and didn't answer. [I'm 15, so usually when someone calls and i don't know them i ignore it]

Caller hung up when I said "Hello".  I did receive a call last week from a "Police Fundraiser".  I do not give to unsolicited callers.

Got a call on a Saturday morning from this number. (719-623-5387)  I was  sleeping.  How wonderful to receive a "local" call that doesn't leave a message.  I'm on numerous "Do Not Call" lists.  It isn't stopping the scammers or telemarketers.  How frustrating.

Keep getting calls from the # night and day, we screen so I do not pick up....

I have the same thing as annoyed I'm nonlisted and non-published and I've been getting these phone calls daily. I called them back and left my number, an operator will be with you shortly, on hold, then thank you *click* and hung up on me.

I'll be blocking their number and they'll get the lovely "I'm sorry this number is not accepting calls" message prerecorded from the phone company.

promted to leave message and they will call back about a colorado children's charity. I am non-listed and non-published  and eget solicitations,so my guess is they are using one of those computer programs that scrambles numbers and dials over and over

This number continues to call -- tie up phone -- NO MESSAGE -- then hangs up. Have had dozens of Hangup calls from this number. Our Ans. Mach. message says for "Telemarketers to NOT call this number again !!" They cont. to call !!!

I did a reverse look up & it comes from Colorado Springs, CO -- Icg Telecom Group -- the area code also covers Canyon City -- which has a federal prison there. I don't know if some credit companies are using the inmates as cheap labor, like stories I've seen on Dateline or 20/20. But it makes you wonder when I'm on both the state & federal do not call list, & it shows up on caller id as local call -- which it isn't.

Keep receiving calls from this number -- they never say anything -- just keep calling and calling and calling and calling --- IF this is POLICE Promotion Sol. the local P.D. is going to hear plenty from us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The Caller I.D. shows as a Local Call -- we are over 800 miles away .

Received a call from the same number, but did not pick up, and no message wass left.  It think it's the same outfit y'all are referring to.  I got a call last month from this same number.  It says "local", but 719 is not the area code here.  These people should be put out of business PRONTO!!  Apparently being on the "No-Call List" does not protect us from these scammers!!!  BUMMER!!!
