same, getting called and not answering. no texts tho.

This number keeps calling everyday. i don't answer it & they hang up before it's time to leave a message. And it says out of area but it's the same area code as mine.

I received the same txt. I was told to add them on Y messenger. I txt  back to see who it was again and got no reply

Got a call from this idiot. knew my name, Wanted to know what if i use y.ahoo or IM. Their username is textwoman31. When I asked for the second time who this was... they dissapeared.

i just got one today, but it was slightly more clever. went like this
?: "hi jacob"
me:"i dont trust this..."
?:"you got a Y! IM?? message me there my phone is gunna die! my username is txtchickie99"
then MY phone died lol.

Just got one myself that said "Hi Peggy".  Didn't open it -- deleted it.  How do they get this information.

Received text saying "hi...and my name"...they want me to add them to yahoo messenger...3rd time today, but a different number than the other...ridiculous.

I got the same text, just said, Hi, Bennie?
When I said yea who is this, no response. I paid to find out whose number this is and it traced to a printing company in Colorado! And there number on their web page does not match.  It's a scam, just can't figure it out!  I don't like our name and info is just out there for all the criminals to do as they please!  Jerks!  Get a job like me!

This is what happened.

Random number: "Hola (my name)!!!"
Me: "Hello?"
RN: "Haha if you want to know who this is u got to add me on Yahoo msger, my id is txtgirlie452"
Me: "Who is this?"

So far, that's it.  Not very comfortable knowing not only my number but my name has been given to a source I didn't authorize.  After reading the comments, I wasn't the first. How did this happen?

just received a text msg here in Texas. They tried this less than a week ago with a differentnumber.  SCAMMMM!!!!

I got a text message from this number, I think it is a scammer.

Received a text yesterday (and they knew my name) ... and when I asked who he/she was, they replied:  "Lol if u wanna know who this is you got to add me on Y! messenger, my name is txtchikie93."  I replied that I don't do Yahoo messenger and again asked who was texting me.  Have not heard anything since.

I got a random text from this number also, this is crazy how does people get your info like that I wonder because they knew my name also

Received a text message Saying "Hey {my name}..."

Received text with greeting in spanish.  Did not open to review in full message.

Just got the same text

Got a text yesterday and they knew my name, too. Called the number and got a msg that says: you've called someone's text plus texting number.... visit textplus.com to get your own free texting number. I am in Texas.

We just got a text message from this number as well - whoever texted knew both mine and my husbands name
