Caller self-identified as Chris Christopherson called for the third time; now using a number with CallerID blocked, so don't answer.  Calling about a business that isn't mine about a lien that I don't have.

No. He can't. If indeed you were in trouble with the IRS or state:
1) They would have contacted you themselves.
2) It wouldn't have been over the phone. The don't work that way. If the IRS or state revenue office needs to contact you, it will be either by mail or in person, and you can bet  that they will contact you before they place a lien on anything. They try to resolve before taking that large of a step.

Got a call from this number. Guy said state has taken out lien on you and your business. So he can help negotiate with state or IRS.

ROFL. Kris Kristofferson is a dead country singer. Definite scam.

Just got a voicemail from this number.  He identified himself as 'Chris Kristofferson from Omni' and referenced a business I had about ten years ago, saying it was a tax matter.  This business never made any money and never filed its own tax return.  Sure doesn't sound legit to me.

Calls often. Finally left a message about a federal tax matter. Who do we report this to?

Received a call from Cory McCowan asking for my ex husband.  When I told him he did not live with me and I didn't know his number he said "darn, it's about a confidential tax matter".  I took his number and said I would have one of my kids give their father the message.  The call came at 6:50am which made me think this was a scam because offices are not usually open at this time in the morning.

Cory Mcallen called a left a voice mail saying that he need to discuss a Federal tax matter. I don't have any tax matter pending. It has to be a scam. I am not calling back this number

Cory Ray McAllen keeps calling my home about a "federal tax issue" regrading my ex-spouse. We have no tax issues, this is a total scam.  Cory is trying to frighten people.  The IRS or anyone reputable would identify themselves and write as well as call with any vaild tax issue.  This is a complete scam.  Report him and delete his messages.

Received a voice mail message from "Cory" about a private tax matter he wanted to discuss with me.  I called him back at the number he left.  I got his answering machine.  Name given on answering machine was Cory Ray.  Based on the info above, I will decline any services he has to offer.

Cory McAllen seems like a pleasant young man, though he holds a grudge against the Red Sox. (I found out on another site that he goes also by the name of Cory Ray--oh well, maybe it's his middle name.) We chatted about the weather and the serious "federal business tax lien" hanging over my brother's head like a veritable sword of Damocles. He said he wanted to offer help in resolving the issue. So her either sells loans, or he's involved in a more serious scam. I suspect my brother won't call Cory back, because there seems to be some mistaken identity involved--right name, wrong address.

Frequent calls asking for owners.  Saying very important.  Asks for other numbers for owners.  Do not trust him.

Received a call.  He said his name was Cory Ray with Omni and we had a tax lien.  I contacted the Court House and they had no record of a lien.  When I asked Cory for specifics he could not give me anything but a dollar amount that he said the lien was for.

Same thing. Call asking for the owner. Asking if we received the tax information they sent. Probably a telemarketer. They hung up when I asked what tax information.
