Just another credit card scam.  Quite frankly, I don't know why anyone would buy anything from an unsolicited marketing call.  I assume every call from an unknown caller is a scam.  In fact, if I do answer the phone and there is somebody on the other end, I accuse them of being a scam. When they say they aren't I ask them to prove it.  That really throws them off their script.

If we all ignore these idiots eventually the telescaming industry will collapse.  Unfortunately they're still raking in billions of dollars.  As long as its profitable they'll keep doing it.  So for now I guess I'll just have to keep ignoring them until the uninformed figure out no good can come from answering their phone during dinner.

Buyer beware!

Got two calls, from these scammers, on consecutive days, 12/11 and 12/10/13.  I'm with those who don't answer.  It's the only recourse.  I don't expect these idiots to cease and desist, but playing with them only perpetuates calls that just might be less frequent, if they get no replies, at all!

Just got home from being out. Found this number had called. I don't have an answering machine specifically because of scammers like this and CCA. After reading the comments here, I'm glad I wasn't home. I don't pick up crap calls like this anyway ...and neither should anyone else!!! That just tells them that they have a "live one" and they call all the more!!!

she wouldn't give the legal name of her company (no honey, "card services" is not the name of any company), but assured me she could hang on her "cellurlar" all day and get paid at the end of the week.  skank.

Seems daily that we receive a call from 7203074712.  Party recorded states that her name is Jennifer and that there no concerns with our credit at this time.  Also informs us that we can reduce interest on our credit card and and on and on and on.  We hang up amd do not respond but the calls are annoying and would like them to discontinue these calls.  We know that this a scam.

I try not to answer these scam calls most of the time but sometimes I feel like playing with them and answer and once I get them on the line i say, "You are a scammer and this is your final notice!"  I get momentary satisfaction even though I know they will continue calling.  Let's face it, folks...they're going to continue calling no matter what and you can't expect the government who can't even build a website to enforce existing law about these calls.  You can't keep your health care plan even if you like and you can't stop these scammers from calling.  PERIOD.

Has it ever occurred to you phone companies charge for "special services" to combat phone abuse that they themselves are guilty of committing ??

Seriously , what is so hard for phone companies to mass dial thousands of numbers using their equipment to

disguise their identity and then sit back and wait for the FLOOD of blocking services request to come in !!

Imagine the only dentist in town that also owns the only candy store in town .

Odd coincident or by design ???

Is it obvious to make more profit is to artificially create demand that requires buying something from them to make that problem go away ?

Coincidence or by design ?????

Car dealership owns all the local gas stations....coincidence or by design ??

Cable tv provider owns the electric company you buy electricity from to watch cable tv .
Raise your monthly rate because electricity  /  cable tv now cost more ????

Coincidence or by design ?????

Confidence is gained through knowledge .

Think about that , fools .

And we wonder why the rest of the planet hates us .

They call several times a day saying that they are calling to lower our credit card debt. In a household who doesn't use credit cards we found it a little weird that they were calling us. When we did answer and talked to them when we told them that we didn't have credit cards they hang up and then call again in an hour or so. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION!!!

I just route these calls to my fax machine to let their caller program know that it is not a viable number that will ever be answered by a sucker.  I've been using this technique for a month now and I seem to be getting fewer calls.  These  lower your interest rate calls are kinda stubborn though but I'll keep working on them.

Drop your land line and get one of those cheap cell phones. Tell only your close friends the number. Maybe when the phone company's loose their customers they will do something.

I received calls from this number on 12/06 and 12/09. It's Card Member Services again. They use numerous fake numbers for their scam saying they want to lower your interest rates. When one number is reported they just start using another number. All numbers when you call back are not in service. I'm on the DNC list ...but this does not stop them...seems like a very ineffective list to me.
Other number they use are 323 281-1438,701 783-9520, 801 821 7480,515 465-7085,701 782-9520,719 379-8800
,714 559-4180,802 230-6357,301 416-8745,601 400-9074,865 932-4749...check them out on the website and you will see they are all from Card Member Services. I have reported these numerous harassing calls to the FTC..but they just keep changing their numbers. A soon as one number is blocked they just use another number.

Same deal as everyone else herein - they just keep on calling, no matter what. This time I tried to get them to Google the number they are using to find this website and take a look-see at the comments about them. I don't think they are even bright enough to understand what I was saying, or that repeatedly annoying the same people is not a good business - excuse me, I mean scam plan. Definitely not the sharpest crayons in the box.

Yep !  We're all on our own.
Gov't services against  telemarketers:  National 'Do Not Disturb' ( DND ) equals 'Does Not Work'.
The Feds are powerless and unwilling to stop these guys.
So,  we have only two options:
Get our own call blocker devices to prevent their calls from getting to our answering machines (which validates a working # only to be called again)  - OR-   find and identify the location of these boiler rooms and send us their address so that our " They Will Never Call Us Again' (TWNCUA)  group will pay a visit to their operations and will savagely salvage their copper wire and systems for recycling.  Also,  a few fire drills will make the con-artists consider other careers.

I always try to get an agent and then play along. Yes I have debt and need help BUT before I do that I ask where they are located and a good number to call them back in case we get disconnected. USUALLY that's enough to get them to hang up. I have test card numbers for MC VISA, etc, which anyone can get at getcreditcardnumbers.com Just use a date in the future. Otherwise hang on a minute and come back to answer them. Keep asking to hold a minute. I haven't had many call me back again as I have wasted their time thinking they have a sale when they don't...

Idiot scammers. I never ever ever answer these calls. guess fools just never learn. I will never respond to these inbreeds. The calls have slowed a great deal since I don't answer them. If you ever answer just one of these calls, all that does is let them know they have you hooked and they will continue to call. The only way to stop them... is to NOT answer the calls. Eventually auto dialers deem your number "dead" and will drop it from their calling list.

Got a call from (720) 307-4712 today again.
YES!  You are so correct!
I have registered my phone numbers on the "Do Not Call LIst", several times, and the calls continue.  I even made sure I opened the emails and confirmed.
Now I receive unknown calls from new phone numbers.  And they are not bill collectors.
I can only assume the phone number gets out when you are registering with a Store site.
Very Frustrating !

AT&T allows only a few blocked calls and the Panasonic phone allows up to 20.

Blocking the number does no good because it's a spoofed -- fake -- number they display on your Caller ID anyway. They just call back using a different fake number.

The "Do Not Call List" is pure b***s***., just like everything else this government does. FTC & FCC can't do anything about these calls. The phone companies refuse to do anything about these calls because they're making money from these calls.
