Got a call from this number this evening. Fell for the fun answering machine message which tricks them into thinking they are talking to someone... He asked for me by name but by then, I'd already looked this number up online and knew I didn't want to talk to them. No idea what they wanted.

They are from India.  The Legal Indians have purchased thousands of blocks of numbers from Verizon, Sprint, etc.  The Indians have lots of info on us.  Katie Couric did a special and even sent people to India and found the call centers.  A boss came out and closed the big door and said In English, "No, this is not a call center."  You could clearly see all the people on phones.    Katie then had people chasing the Legal Indians here in our country, some from very beautiful areas throughout the country, and they were running away.  These people were like 45 or 50 years old too. The Indians get money from you from your credit cards numbers, saying you owe more than you do, etc., etc.  The Indians will take any amount of money from us that they can get, such as, 100, 1000.  Katie had several scammed people on the air, some quite elderly.  I refuse to purchase anything made in India now.  They call all the time from every state in our country, and they are actually in India.   These crazy Indians drive me insane with their calls.

This # called me today 3/30/12, saying that because I made a purchase with either Walmart, Target or Best Buy, that I would receive a $100 gift card to use at either of these 3 places. Thick Indian accent, told me to receive this 'free' $100 card he would need my credit card # and I would have to pay small shipping fee. I'm no fool. I politely refused and he yelled at me. I hung up.

This woman called saying that they had a Visa card on file for me and she asked if I was receiving my magazines and it sounded very fishy. Her supervisor came on the phone and was very unprofessional. I told him I get about 30 free magazines so I was not sure which one he was referring to and he was shocked and asked me how that was possible, so I started listing the ways one can acquire free magazines on the internet and he hung up on me.

A lady called saying something about a magazine subscription, I stopped her and asked her to remove my number from her list and she said "Well I would like for you to stop giving your number out!" in a very offensive tone.  I told her goodbye and hung up.

I just got a call from them. They said they needed to confirm a payment plan because I had been selected as a prefered customer and I was getting a discount. The magazine they wanted to give me a discount for they said I was already paying for monthly. Wrong I got a year free from a cookbook I got for Christmas and never gave the company any card info. Total scam!

I have also recived a call from 720-452-0220 and the same thing took place with me and some woman. She informed me that payment was due. I told her that I had no clue what she was talking about. She transferred me. This new personal on the phone said if I don't pay that a bill in the amount of $300.00 will be sent to me and if I still don't pay it will go to collections and go against my credit! Does anyone know what I can do about this?

I received some magazines, thought it was a promotion since I normally do not have magazines sent to my home.  Calls began requesting payment.  They are not forthcoming with any information; I think this is a scam.  Beware.

calling my number asking for my college living son.  say he ordered magazines and are looking for payment.  When asked where/how/when ordered they say they don't know.  when we try to say that we thing someone is using his name the say no it's him he ordered.  our attorney advised us to have them send everything they have in writing to us, we will forward to her and she will call them.  She said it sounded fishy when they said cancellation fee is $300, yet magazines cost only 100 for 4 of them

I received a phone call from this phone number on 9/26/11 as well. The woman said the same story as those above; that she was calling about a magazine subscription confirmation, etc. I interrupted the woman and asked who she was again and what magazine she was inferring about and she said "the magazines that you have been receiving..." I told her I have not been receiving any magazines and asked her to confirm what the title of the magazine was that she was talking about and she hung up the phone on me. I called back only to be forwarded to an automatic messaging system that doesn't allow any options to speak with someone directly.... this is most certainly is a scam so be careful!

I got a call from this number 9/26/11. The woman said she was from a magazine subscriber. I interrupted her to say I didnt want to buy anything, and interrupted me to tell me I already have a subscription. I stopped to let her finish, but she said "Fine, you dont want to know - figure it out yourself" and hung up on me. Good riddens, but was so rude. This cant possibly be real - has to be a scam.

This is a complete scam.  The person began asking if I'm receiving my magazine deliveries okay.  I replied yes...because we do have magazines delivered...however, not in my name.  When I began questioning about what magazines he spoke about, he mentioned "men's health, maxim..."..I told him none of those are delivered here...and I told him none were in my name and asked how he got my phone number.  He abrubtly hung up.

They have called the past few days, asking about a mag subscription and said they had my credit card on file, but they could not tell me even the last 4 digits or expiration date. When I told them that I was not intrested in anything that they where selling, she transfered me to a "supervisor", he gave me the same fishy story. I called back and selected option 1 to be removed from their list. We will see what happens. On my caller ID all it shows is MC

They called today (9/22).  Seemed fishy.  Wanted to know about magazine subscriptions and billing. Probably a scam to get you to pay for mags.  Did know our address, probably from a list.

Could hear man in the background telling the woman what to say, and a kid in the background. Hope they get an honest job and quit bugging people; they aren't going to make much $$ with their lame scam.   Would make more at McDonald's.
