Just posted a engagement ring on kijiji and got a response right away I instantly google this number and find this forum here same deal offered me an xtra 500 to ship to his fiancé  so I copyists and pasted the top of this site where it shows his number and location and texted that to him not a peep since f****ng scammers if I get ahold of one I'd beat him with in a inch of his pathetic little life f****ng loser

Exact same just happened to me. Advertised on Kijiji (engagement and wedding rings). 7206630293 number. He offered $5500 when I was only selling for $3999. I was suspicious and typed that number into Google. Discovered the scam related to that number.

Same thing just happened to me this shouldn't be allowed however the story for me was that it was going to his fiancé in South Africa.. People like this should just stop trying.

I just posted my engagement ring on kijiji just today (September 5, 2013) This guy txt me within the first hour of posting my add.

He asked me what my best offer was, so I told him 250 dollars MORE then what I was asking.. He then agreed to my over priced amount of 4000.00 and told me he would give me an EXTRA 200.00 for shipping.

He told me that he was shipping it to his son in Quebec.. haha and his number showed up as Colorado? my first clue LOL

He asked me for my PayPal email and Name.. to send the money,But I have ended the conversation

This guy MUST BE STOPPED!

Just received a text from this number wanting to buy my item from kijiji. Offered $300 extra to ship to his "fiancé" in west Africa. Scam alert!

Posted an ad for an engagement ring today and he messaged within 5 minutes of the ad being listed.  Offered to pay an extra $500 since he is away on business to ship it to his fiance.  Told him had a scam like this before but different number.  He ranted on about trusting him as he is trusting me to buy my ring????  lol  Anyway, told him not a chance and that i just searched his number on the scam list....he hasn't responded since.

My txt showed local number so i keep on harassing this guy by replying back as i guessed that he is a scammer and now when i got my cell monthly bill, it has all these txt msgs sent from 720-663-0293 and not the local number. I got charged heavily on these txt msgs and thats when i googled for this number.
Dont understand how he changed his number !

Same as Cindy's story, except my "away on business" scammer has miraculously changed genders, as I'm selling a woman's item.  I was also offered $200 to ship the item.  Actually laughed out loud at the stupidity.  Not a smart scammer by any means.  I can't imagine how dumb someone would have to be to fall for this.

I just posted a kobo for sale on kijiji last night. She told me she is away on a business trip and would spay of an extra $200 to ship it to her fiance is Africa. Told me she would pay me through paypal. Some people! Haha what ever happened to someone showing up at your door with money in hand?
It's sad that some people actually fall for these scammers.

Asked him for his name and he said ''John Smart'', and then I've asked for his ''Wife's'' Full name and shipping address and he said ''WILLIAM'' lol what a scammer.. Now I keep on harrassing him and will keep on doing that FOR A WHILE LMAOO

I have a feeling this is a scammer. Very pushy. Wants me to sign up for PayPal so I can sell something I have posted on kijiji.
