Repeated calls claiming to be the DEA, threatening a search and arrest warrant for an online overseas pharmacy prescription? Trying to sell a high priced legal service? Not sure They were stern, but When I asked pointed questions like badge and case numbers, they hung up.
Names used:
Robert Cosal ?
Lynn Taylor

This is how it works.
Have you ever.
1 order medication online
2 had an unsecure transaction on line with a credit card
3 had your card stolen
If yes, you are on a list to have these guys extort monies from you. They will call stating they are law enforcement and within 1 to 2 calls ask you to make a payment in the form of a money order. They sound so real. (they call it a fine)
We busted them today as it was hard to figure out what these guys were doing. I had my card stolen in 2007.
Numbers used to call us were
929-268-1526 (new york)
720-881-1064 (colorado)
Today, The guy was furious as I told him I wanted him to specifically tell me what he needed from me as I had the detroit team on the other line. (the lord must have been on my side as the phone was so staticky). This guy became so irate he started to threaten me with everything under the sun on what he was going to do to me.
I told him to have a wonderful day and called the Michigan phone number which is
1-877-782-2873 Dept of homeland security extortation division
These people are out of the country! They are total scammers. Do not be afraid and call the number to report these criminals!
nuff said. :}

You could try contacting the DEA office in your state. But be aware:
There are several fake agent names making these same phone calls to people every day. I have received scam, bogus DEA phone calls from fake agents with these names, so far:
1. Nick Delgado - the most frequently used on calls made to me
2. Mike Spencer
3. John Moore
4. Kevin Coleman
5. William Rice
6. David Stone
7. John Gilmore
8. Robert Corso - the latest
==>I am confident that there are many more aliases, and I would not be surprised if there are female fake names as well.

I got a message from Colarado phone # (720)881-1064. He said his name was Jeffrey Sweeten with the DEA and he had some very important information to discuss with me and to call him back immediately. I did not call back, but I can't imagine what he would have to say to me because I don't do drugs and I'm not involved with drugs in any way. Who do I report this to so that I can get this caller to leave me alone?
Thank you

thank you
| julz 2012-04-24 05:57:43 Unknown |
EXACTLY!!! that's what i was just saying before. "sam" is apparently one of them. puhleeze people, it's just common sense.
| jula 2012-04-24 05:55:21 Unknown |
SAME HERE!! and iv'e had them before from other numbers, also saying they are "agents" and i spoke to one, i'm in "big trouble, going to be arrested, etc etc" and whomever sam was who commented on this, he must be one of them, cause it IS a scam.
they want u to call them or answer their call & then they will threaten u, try to scare u, etc. to then PAY them to get you out of the "big trouble" which is a total lie.
i called my police dept and there was NO info on me, warrant or otherwise and the police told me it was a scam. the person who commented after "sam" is absolutely correct. that is NOT the way the govt. works. they do NOT call you to tell you that u are in trouble or going to be arrested or whatever, it's a friggin scam people!! do NOT deal w/these people. report them asap!

Called himself Robert Corso. Apparently there IS a Robert Corso who is with the real DEA in Detroit, Michigan, but there is someone (or more than one) tossing out this name and using it to scam people so that they believe that the DEA is investigating them for something. Don't believe it. This guy's number is based in COLORADO. Total BS.
Apparently, the alias, "Robert Corso," has been used by numerous scam phone numbers in other parts of the country. A total scam. Hang up on them.
The real DEA does not contact people in this way. Beware.
