I have been getting these calls from John for over a year now, off and on.  It is the same call all of you are getting.  Very clever.  Makes you think you are actually listening to a real person, until you let it play out, and then you understand it is a recording.  Keep notes on numbers, times of calls, dates, and report them, along with any other information you have to your Prosecuting Attorney's Office.  I am in the process of doing this myself.  I contacted our Prosecuting Attorney about two other companies that had been harassing me, and the calls have stopped.  When I told one company I was on the 'No Call List," he informed me he "didn't care what list I was on."  Personally I would like to see them all behind bars for about six months.  That might stop the arrogance and willful ignoring of the law.

Medical Alert Systems company using cell phone # 954-347-2000. I've asked to be "taken off the list" numerous times now. These people are very annoying and sound like they are foreign -- yet it appears to be a cell phone in FL. Between this company, and "The FBI reports, blah, blah, blah",  they make up 95% of my daytime calls - I work at home, so I do need a land line. This is so aggravating.

407-267-1389 calls me every single day with the exact same John emergency and medical alert system message. I keep pressing five and it says that they will stop calls but they never do!!

I have asked them repeatedly to take my name off this list or I will pursue it with the proper authorities.  They have disregarded my requests.  Please look into this scam.
This time the number they used is 201 499-0217.

My "Hello, this is, uh, John ........." today (08/05/20130 came from (980) 202-0016, different from previous calls. If one immediately dials any of these numbers, one will quickly learn that the number is "not in service".

I got this same exact call from 302-298-0870 -- John from the "shipping department" of "Emergency Medical Alert".

This recording  calls me  EVERY DAY!!!  Same as others have stated- waiting to ship my Medical Alert System.
I wish they would leave me alone.

Same "John" called again today, but this time the number was a local number and I.D. indicated was from nearest town with a hospital.  Normally wouldn't answer unless I knew the caller I.D., but since I was waiting for an important call grabbed the phone without first checking.  I will check before answering next time.

I received two calls from 716 817 8527. How do I stop this?

Report this and make a formal complaint to Monica Brown with the Florida Dept of Agriculture (freshfromflorida.com) who are responsible for giving these jerks a license to do business,

Are we so impudent that we allow these attacks to continue? Once a day at various times have caused me to trip and fall on the run to answer. This idiot has been harrassing me for 27 consecutive days and nights.

unfortunately it wasn't a live caller - they've taken all the fun out of wasting their time - does anyone know of an app or script for calling back their number (like a dns type attack?)

5/8/2013 - 5:07 pm - Received call from 724-302-2349, that a Medical Alert System was ready to be shipped out to me. That shipping had been paid for. Having no knowledge of anything of this order, I requested more information; and was disconnected.

Answered this call.  It is a recording saying that they are shipping a medical thing for elderly people when they fall down and all you have to do is pay shipping because it is free.  Pure SCAM.

I receive calls daily from this number.  Do not answer since I do not know the number.  Make the calls stop.  This is very annoying!!

This number has called me 5 times in 2 days. If I don't recognize the number I don't pick up. And yes I am on DNC Lists.

"PACALLER" last called here ten days ago, from this number. Before that, there was series of five different phone numbers used by this or a similar scam, over a period of weeks. All those numbers left robo message about the FBI and the American Heart Association blah blah blah. This particular number does not leave a message. What is the point of making a pest call and not leaving a message?  Stupid creeps.

This call just came into my folks...with the same recorded script.  Funny, my dad fell two weeks ago, so they thought we might have gotten them something.  Luckily they called me before they punched any response buttons.  As I told them ..IF YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE THE NUMBER ON CALLER ID, DO NOT ANSWER!!!!!

I received the same call as everyone else... but would love to hear from someone who actually played along with these jerks long enough to find out what the catch is. Of course, it's a scam, but it would still be interesting to find out how these jerks make money on these calls.

This one's slick, I actually thought there was a live person on the line. I was all set to "play" with the caller when I realized that it was a recording. Following is the text of the "conversation"...

"Hi, uh, this is John from the shipping department of Emergency Medical Alert, I was calling to uh schedule a delivery of your medical alert system, it's uh the "fallen, and I can't get up" type of system you've seen on TV. Looks like the system's been uh recommended by thousands of hospitals and medical professionals, uh, let's see, says here that the system's already been paid for. Looks like you're getting the system because uh either yourself, a friend, a family member or maybe even someone you know has experienced a fall in the past so uh again it's already been paid for so there's no cost to your whatsoever. Also says here that the shipping has already been paid for so to uh schedule the delivery of your Emergency Medical Alert System press 1 uh again to uh have your system shipped out to you press 1 now...press 5 to decline the shipment of your system....(me) Hello?"

Never answer the calls.  Pretend you don't live at the phone number, and they will eventually stop calling you.

Got my call @ 5:53 PM  today and the fellow would not take NO for an answer.  I finally had to hang up on him. There is no one in this house hold that needs this medical alert.  Got the same line you others got about the item was purchased for me and the shipping was paid for.  Funny thing is that he never mentioned my name.  Needless to say my next phone call is to our local police dept to notify them that a scam is going on.  I feel sorry for any elderly persons who may get the call and will get sucked in.

TYes, they say free item and free shipping, BUT they day nothing about a monthly fee????????????????????
