Blocking calls on a cell phone depends on the model cell phone and service provider you have.  For example, I have a Samsung Infuse with AT&T service.  On my Infuse, when I bring up the log record for the call, I can select 'Add To Reject List' in the options so that future calls from that number will be automatically rejected.  Check the manual for you're phone or contact your provider to find out if your phone has an option like that.

I've also seen that some people add a contact with a name something like 'SPAM' and then add as many of the bogus call numbers under that contact as possible.  Once again, depending on the phone you can give that contact a special ringtone so you know you don't want to answer it, send it directly to voice mail or whatever other options are available to you on your phone.

Third robo-dialer for Tom from Home Security. Calling back does not allow opt-out.

I finally was home to answer their call.  Tom asked me how I was and I said extremely annoyed.  He said that was awesome.  He says he works for Lifecare Monitoring, which is offering something similar to life alert pins.  I asked how he got my number and he said an autodialer.

This is some home security company calling to have you place a sign in your yard to advertise. CAll my cell phone several times a day from this number and other numbers. When you call it back it says you have received a telemarketing call.

Please take me off the list they have called me over 10 times since this morning.

Received a call on 03/01/2012 as well as on 03/02/2012. Did not recognize the # so I did not answer the phone. I googled #  when I got home and I have just seen that others have received numerous calls as well. This needs to stop, we are all too busy with our personal and professional lives to be bothered with such nonsense.

I've been getting a lot of calls from here.  I did reply by pushing #1 to be removed, will see what happens in 24 hrs.

It's a robocaller disguised as a person for Home Protection Services. They've called me 8 times in under 24 hours. I've called back and followed the prompt for them to remove my phone number, but that was 4 calls ago.

Caller identified himself as from "Home Protection."  Telemarketer.  Don't answer the call.

Received 4 phone calls from "Specific Telecommunications Group" within 1 1/2 days and tried calling back only to find the phone number is not in service at this time.  They hang up and never let a message.  Will report this to our state of Pa.        This is harrassment and tired of it.

This number has called a few times .rings 3 times and hangs up,and doen`t leaves a message.

have received numerous calls from this number recently in Jan - Feb 2012- tried calling the number back from a "safe" phone and all that the message says is the phone number is no longer operating.... however, the number keeps calling.  I never answer the number.

Calls, answering machine picks it up then they hang up. This is considered harassment and it needs to stop.

Just received 3 calls with in only a few hours. So annoying, no message either. Called back and said the same thing " thank you for calling back, you just received a call from a commercial marketing company, to be removed from this list, press 1 at any time." so I pressed 1, then it stated "please allow 24hrs for your request to processed" So hopefully that took care of that, and that I didn't just make the problem worse!

just called the number back from a work phone and a recording came on that said "Thank you, you have received a message from a marketing company..."

They have called me two-three times a day for the past 2 weeks. I try answering and they hang up. Its very annoying. If anyone finds out what this is about, please post!

how do you block a call on a cell phone?  this number constantly calls me.  i do not answer an unrecognized number.  they never leave a message so apparently, it is not an important call
