It's a SCAM!!!!! Get the FREE MR. NUMBER block call app, works great!!!
Anon 2012-10-01 21:12:11 Unknown
Sprint doesn't care. I have called many times. They have no solution other than to change your number. I'm not doing that! I thought they had ended but I just got another one a few minutes ago. It's ridiculous.
Dcar 2012-09-13 16:53:22 Unknown
I'm in Austin and getting multiple texts from BOA on a business phone. I have never given this number to anyone. In fact, I don't even know the number. Sprint has it though....
Claud 2012-09-11 19:39:22 Unknown
Forgot to add my area code is (214) not 512 like most on here!!
Claud 2012-09-11 19:34:09 Unknown
I got the same text from urgent@boa.com to call BofA.
Yes, I have Sprint have not subscribed to any site.
Seems to be a Sprint Breech!!!!!!
Gary 2012-09-09 03:36:31 Unknown
We have also been getting an onslaught of these messages and guess what?
512
Sprint User
Just ordered from Papa Johns last week
Any one know if they got hacked?
annoyed droid user 2012-09-07 19:39:55 Unknown
My husband got one first, and I've gotten at least one text from various "BOA..." addresses with "attention required" in the message. They don't all reference the same phone number, but it must be a phishing expedition, as I don't bank with BOA.
Avery 2012-09-07 18:26:06 Unknown
I live in the 512 with Sprint and also received this SPAM message today
Janmintx 2012-09-07 16:38:17 Unknown
I am in area code 512 ...sprint....as well and have been getting text and voice mail from them as well. Also same thing from 561-235-7256. How can we report this to sprint?
Dave 2012-09-06 22:56:56 Unknown
Getting same message. As Sprint user I texted 9999 with the word "help" and then "help block"
received almost immediate response.
then texted 9999 with "block @info.com"
got response that texting to and from that domain has been blocked. I don't know if that will solve the problem or if each different domain is going to have to be blocked or if a wildcard like * can be used.
good luck all...

I have been geeting multiple text messages from 727, 561 area codes with the similar messages that other people reported.
BBN 2012-09-06 22:02:53 Unknown
This is a fraud scam trying to get our credit card info. Do not respond.
L 2012-09-06 21:59:38 SMS
Just got this one from:
tele@bof-america.com (312) 492-4053
ComputerGuy 2012-09-06 21:43:49 Unknown
This Sprint web page shows how to block text messages. I have not tried this yet but I will give it a shot soon as I am also receiving these annoying text messages. Go to:
http://support.sprint.com/support/servicepage
Then enter "Block text" in the search window to display the Sprint support information on how to block text messages from an unwanted sender.
Jada 2012-09-06 21:27:09 Unknown
Megan, thanks for the information.
Kasey2488 2012-09-06 21:20:33 Unknown
have gotten several of these texts in the last two days from 727-216-2029, 864-582-5454, & 312-492-4053
with the same "Attention required" message. I called Bank of America - they took all the information and checked to to assure me that there was no problem with my account - although I do not have a debit card with them, I do have a credit card. I am in the 512 area I have Sprint & I have an option on my phone to block the sender - still it is a pain.

NOTE: If you are a SPRINT CUSTOMER - You will need to send individual texts for each one of these spam lines Megan has listed below. You will receive a message back confirming they (Sprint) received the request.
As Megan posted:
Found out an even better way to block these spam emails from your phone and also notify Sprint of the spam.
Text the following to 9999 to block the domains these spammy emails are coming from:
spam infos.com
spam info1.com
spam info2.com
spam info3.com
spam info4.com
spam boa-info.com
Along with any other domain names on emails you might get from these guys. It takes a few seconds to send, but it will block emails from that domain being sent by text to your phone. These texts should be free for Sprint customers and would be worth it especially for those who have limited texts.

It seems like the 512 area code is getting hit a lot from this scammer. I've received about a dozen texts in the past 3 days. When I call the number from a land line, its just busy. Apple needs to figure out how to block numbers on iPhones.
sunabarx 2012-09-06 21:02:11 Telemarketer
Please, someone, stop these texts! I get several every day!!!
BDS 2012-09-06 21:00:25 Unknown
I've gotten 4 or 5 of these as well in the past day or so. I'm in the 512.
Did anyone else sign up online with USPS recently? I never get spam to my phone, and that is the only place I've recently listed my digits.
Jennifer 2012-09-06 20:46:15 Unknown
Recv'd text boa77@info4.com: Good Day: Attention Required.Call. (727)216-2029. *THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ME*. I do not bank with Bank of America nor would it be legit for an automated service to call about possible fraudulent use of a card since bank personnel makes those calls personally.
Amy 2012-09-06 20:42:34 Unknown
IF....you have sprint, you can block this text by doing the following:
send a text to 9999
Type: BLOCK 727-216-2029
you will get a confirm text that it is blocked.
Also if you go onto your sprint .com, there are three tabs near the top:
MY ACCOUNT, MY DEVICE & MEDIA, MY PREFERENCES
Go to MY PREFERENCES-
Under limits and permissions go to Block Text or Block Voice (or both) and go to you number to block these individual numbers.
It takes 10 digit numbers, 19 digit numbers and even short codes like 4-8 digit text codes AND you can even block the email: boa217@info9.com!!
retire old man 2012-09-06 20:17:06 Unknown
Rec'd same text with three (3) different web domains. From another web-site, this appears to be some sort of phishing scam. States they are from Bank of America and that there has been some fraudulent charge on my card. I don't have ANY account with BOA.
Jackie 2012-09-06 20:13:13 Unknown
they must have moved from 512 to 830, because i got one of these texts a few minutes ago. maybe they're working their way south from austin. but i'm also a sprint customer. based on input from others, i'll delete this message and hope i don't get any more.
Larry Swofford 2012-09-06 20:09:36 Unknown
Edie,
Don't call them back... these are scam calls to try and get your personal/credit card information and they will use it for ripoff purposes.

Amanda 2012-09-06 20:01:41 Unknown
Yep, 512 area code here. I also have Sprint and have been receiving the calls on my husband's phone, my phone, and my daughter's phone. Her number isn't given out ANYWHERE which leads me to believe it's sprint related (or possibly facebook, I think her number may be linked to her profile.)
(727)216-2029 CHRONIC junk texting 2012-09-06 19:50:57 Unknown
I'm 512 A/C and have gotten at least 5 such texts in the past 24 hours from:
boa71@infos.com (Good Afternoon...) and
my90@infos3.com. (Good Morning...)
I'm now going to have to buy a Droid app to block.
ANNOYING AS HELL! At least you had some opportunity to give telemarketers a piece of your mind.
Charley 2012-09-06 19:42:34 Unknown
5 texts yesterday and 2 today..... wife getting same..... we are 512-799 and 512-796. Todays texts were from my54@infos.com and boa89@info3.com. Maybe I've been watching too many spy movies but cannot someone identify the IP of these "individuals" and send a nice constable or other law enforment individual to have a "chat".....
Will 2012-09-06 18:52:48 Unknown
Same thing as above... This is a scam. If you have a bank of america card, DO NOT enter it into the phone number in the text message. Go to Bank of America and check with them in person.
Laurie Stockman 2012-09-06 18:50:17 Unknown
Text message. . . not calling it back. . want them to stop.
