Same rental story. Claims student in Guam and said mom German and dad American and in need of an apartment. Said sending a check and requesting I cash it. Soooo fishy

I have my resume on Craigslist and a person signed the email with the name "Sammy"name  asking me if I am still looking for work to text  them at 727 344-9230

I got a message from this number about my offering work to the public. She said to text and nothing back for 2 hours. I would and am now avoiding this number.

Posted my resume in Craigslist - New York. And this is the email I got from him:

I have a room to rent ad on Craigslist also.. in New Jersey... glad I did my research to see this is a scam!!!

I received reply yo craigslist post room for rent.  Wants me to text to same #.  On another site found this same # is pulling same thing to others.  Looks like using several different names, wants to rent rooms in several different states all during the same time in May.

Same story here except father in the states, mom in France, she's on a project in Guam. Wanting to rent room in TEXAS.  School in Germany.  Posed as Zeina Pack.  I questioned her about Germany - my daughter is in Germany!  & asked in what state is her dad?  She said she couldn't talk She didn't answer any of it. & wanted to send me a check without seeing the house /room.  I hate Craigslist.  So far 95% have been wanna be scammers & stupid people.

& today received another new reply to my ad but this time with only this phone # of 727-344-9230.  So I searched for # & came across all of your relies with similar stories.

thanks for posting your encounters, i got an email reply to a roommate request from this number.  suspected it was a scam, googled the number, found this post.  love what james did.

I got a reply from a Craig's List add about a room for rent; requesting I send a text to that number.

I sent this text "F#@! YOU"

Its a scam!!

I got the same email I posted a add on craigslist for a room rental..I'm not responding back, seemed sketchy to me as well

Got a text from this number about a rental. Same b***s*** about being in Guam on researc and mixed parents. ITS A SCAM!!! Saw the same attempt by someone last year. Same thing about being in Guam doing research. LAME!!!!

I got an email that just says to text this number, she'll be looking forward to my text.  It sounds sketchy!

I got the same message. (Guam, in Germany, April 23rd, etc)

I also got a completely separate text message from: 760 289 5447 with 99% the same message, only this time from a "Klara Johnson"

She is also 23, in Guam, dad is German, mom American, from Munich originally, almost word for word what I got from this number

She did the same with me, however  she claims she is in Guam currently and goes to school in Germany! Also says she  will be coming to the states on April 23rd. Is this the same story you got? Dad is German mom is American?? Plus her email has the name Hailey in it?? IDK, feels like a scam to me!  What do you think?

that number messaged me said her name was Janey and to call her about my rental hope that helps
