This number texted me telling me that my Google email had been hacked, and to text back to verify that I want my account back. That was three hours ago, I looked up the number before I responded and saw all of this and decided to see where it would go, I still have not gotten a text back.so I replied again and simple reminded whomever that Google has a automated text service and therefore respond immediately. Still no response.

I have received these calls from this company as stated above - they go away after awhile and then return in a several months to harrass you on some payday loans. Tell them to quite calling your place of employment or you will report them. It usually stops. Stay tuned in a few months to see if they return..... Another number they use is 1727379215

received two back to back calls from this number, let it go to voicemail and then listened to the phone message. From 727-379-2158 claimed to be Mike Thomas but had a very thick accent so didn't understand anything he said. I called the number back later and was supposedly transferred to Mike Thomas, he claimed he was a legal officer for something and that he represented some payday loan office but could never tell me who. I advised him that the FBI had a file on this specific number with complaints from different individuals in the US and that they were under surveillance. He had little else to say and i hung up.

This is from a scammer debt collection agency called American Legal Services. Couldn't be further from the truth. They are foreign scamming debt collectors operating within the United States. They always have an "Asian-Indian" accented person calling and lying, saying that he is "an American-type name" and speaks of a legal suit against you and your property. That if you really want to resolve this matter and forego the legal actions against you, you need to call them immediately. Then finish by saying, "Now so-and-so, if I do not hear from you by the end of the day, then I can only wish you luck as this situation falls down on you. God Bless and good day."
The sad part of all this is that I have sent letters of ceasing to them, told them via the phone, etc. not to call my number or any other thereafter associated with me. They fail to comply and break every FDCPA law. They refuse to listen to anything you say and make threats against your person, your family, arrests and all manner of cooersion. This is ridiculous that any company could not be stopped in harrassing American citizens. The phone number that comes up on the caller ID is (591) 517-32335. And no the extra 5 on the end isn't a mistake. It's a foreign number that's calling you. Sometimes it comes up as Unavailable, other times with a "+" sign in front of the number, but all the same company.
Never give them any information and if possible, don't talk to these scammers. Report them to the Federal Trade Commission and your state's attorney.

THIS IS AN EXTORTION SCAM. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and may be using bought/hacked loan application data to extort money or personal info for fictitious crimes.

I pranked him back and told him that I had cancer in my anal territory. It was hilarious. Eventually he hung up.

I'm a TA and this person kept calling my work and eventually left a message. I was in testing so I had my son call back as me and every time he called the same guy with an Indian accent kept answering the phone using different name.
He asked to be transferred to the person who called and the same guy pretended to be that person.
Basically it's a payday loan scam. He says he's some debt collection agency and that I'm being sued by cash advance (but wouldn't say what cash advance company).
He had my social security number, gave me a fake case number and when I dropped the bomb that my wife is a lawyer and I used to be an investigator he quickly got off the phone.
It's a scam. plain and simple.

Heavily accented middle eastern man called me twice said his name was James and that I took out a payday loan in the amounts of 400.00 and 1700.00 dollars and that it was a federal crime because I have not paid the money back. I told him I have not did any payday loans, but he did have my date of birth, ssn, e-mail address, address, and phone number. And now they are calling my sister saying I put her on this loan. He said I could pay the money or I would be put in jail and hung up on me, well me being the person I am, I called him back and didnt have nice words for him, he said he was recording me to be used in court....he said he didnt have to listen to what I have to say because the US Government was paying his salary....I just want something done about these ppl...the phone calls are really getting on my nerves!
