Someone calls from this number every day, several times a day. I answer and no one is there. I call back and it is busy!! I need them to stop calling.

Bob & Jimmy...thanks for your responses. I have found a number for the FCC and another for the FTC. I will be calling these first thing Monday morning.

I would call the FCC immediately. Start with a local or DC number and explain the situation. That is definately not cool, they could have at least picked a disconnected number, guess they are too lazy to do that as well. I wish you the best of luck.

There are programs that can be used (usually on VOIP - voice over internet protocol) to put in whatever number they want to show up on a callerID.
I feel sorry for those that have had this done to them as it must become some ordeal.

If it is your number, it is being spoofed and THAT'S why it's happening. This more than likely being the case, I wouldn't be surprised when a phone tech finds no problems.

Hi Hawkman...just happened to stumble upon your message. I have received at least 15 calls from people that have the same complaint. It is my phone number that you are writing about. I would appreciate it if you would call me so that I might ask you some questions. I have reported this to the phone company twice and they have sent a technician out to my home. They can't explain why this is happening. People are calling me from all over the
United States. Thanks for your help.
