I commented on this page on 07/29/11 asking if anyone was interested in possibly getting together for a Class Action Lawsuit against this particular telemarketer (there is strenght in numbers).  I realized after I sent that posting that I never gave a way to contact me.  I can be contacted at:  brokenheartedcatlover@gmail.com

Have any of you who complained about this telemarketer tried to file a Mass Class Action Lawsuit?  I am asking my attorney to see what he thinks.  If any of you follow up with an attorney please let me know.  I would like to sue this telemarketer.  I will happily join your Class Action Lawsuit.  Just give me a phone # to reach you.  P.S.  By the way, did you know that the FTC, according to their R&R, can fine a telemarketer $18,000.00 for each illegal phone call they make.  (Food for thought)

Caller ID Tennessee this time (have gotten other states and #s with exact same recording - Lower your credit card interest. I pressed 1 to talk to the rep.  The rep said did you press one to lower your cc interest?  I have said I am on the National Do.... and they hung up in mid sentence  Did return call and the number is disconnected.  How can we stop these calls?

I called the number back, got an inaudible message and then, it hung up. Tried to call again and keep getting a busy signal.

The national pandemic of telephone terrorism perpetrated by desperate criminal collection agencies is because they are trying to terrorize people who are naive enough to answer and submit to unsolicited telephone calls or written "collection" letters that have no legitimate legal debt associated with them or any of the companies, universities, or whomever else they claim to represent. Because most "little guys" were bankrupted by the criminal Wall St/Congress/Big Oil/Big Bankers/Big Business/Military/Robber Barons, so the desperate collection agencies are attempting to collect unpaid debts from innocent people by terrorizing them into submission.

Word of advice. NEVER answer any calls you don't recognize or are not expecting. Use selective call rejection service if available, or switch to an Internet-based telephone service which provides comprehensive call rejection options. If rogue calls become chronic, turn off all the ringers on all of your phones except one, and set its volume to the minimum setting. If you don't answer the call and the caller is legitimate, they will usually leave a voicemail after the first or second try. Rogue callers never leave voicemail messages because that could be used as evidence against them if it came to a lawsuit. If you receive a rogue letter in the mail warning you of some "collection" action against you, if you don't actually owe it, reply with a short letter stating that you don't owe it. Or if you do owe all or part of it, reply with something like "You claim I owe you a debt. Under §809 FDCPA, I request validation of this debt."

Only give them your name as THEY have written it to you (e.g. ?John Doe? not ?Jonathon Q. Doe? or however you normally sign your own name), address, and the account number they report. But if you do not owe the debt (zombie debt, aged debt, mistaken or stolen identity, forgery, etc.) state that you have never done any business with them or with the (alleged) original creditor of any kind and you expect the collection agency to close the matter, stop harassing you and take any bad credit marks they've caused off of your credit rating, and furthermore, that any further contact from them must be in writing on their official business correspondence letterhead. Send your letter to them a.s.a.p., always within thirty days, first class certified mail return receipt requested. If they refuse it and you get the letter back unopened, leave it unopened and save it in your files as evidence against them should they pursue legal action against you. If they did receive it and continue to pursue action against you, let them. The judge will throw it out of court. If the rogue collection agency sells your account to another rogue collection agency just tell them the claim has been proven invalid and offer to send them a copy of your letter to the previous rogue collection agency. Warn all your friends about this rash of desperate collection agency terrorism, and how to combat it. Knowledge is power. The more you learn how to combat rogue collection agencies, back-taxes scammers, phishing scammers, and other flimflammers, the more you will learn how easy it is to do.

Above all, keep a record of everything, of every rogue call w/ caller ID information displayed including time and day of each call. Maintain a complete file on any snail-mailed intimidation from rogue collection agencies, including copies of all correspondences and postal receipts. Reporting rogue calls on sites like
800notes.com, whocallsme.com, phoneowner.info is a great idea too, because many people find these sites by googling for the rogue number(s) after receiving calls from them.

Another pre-recorded harrassing call offer for a credit card!

called stated that this was my last chance to lower my credit card interest rate and when I said I was on the do not call list they hung up on mr, but they keep calling back and harassing me even after i got to tell them to rmove me from th list and that I was on the do not call list. They just keep calling. what is the use of having a do not call ist if its not going to be enforced

Just received a miss call from this number. When I returned the call, heard a recording that indicates that my number is in their data base. Dont return call.

NUKE PAKISTAN, INDIA and AFRICA where I'll bet most of these calls originate.

Recording says to lower credit card rate press 1.
When I asked the woman her name and company she got rude and hung up.
Unable to call the number back I reach a recording.

The Call was from  Tenn.   ??    They said  Account Services  .  "We have an offer to lower your CC  interest rates to   4.99% .. "     Recorded  message ..  I have  NO  credit cards !    I hung up when they asked  me to press  1  to continue  !!!!   No Way !!

Got a call at 9:42 am today from this number. Recorded call concerning credit card interest rates. I filed a complaint with the "do not call" registry also.

Called my house on a holiday. Same scheme as above posts. When I pressed "1" to talk to an operator, I got a live person who hung up on me when I asked to be removed from the call list! When I tried to call back, the system wouldn't let me through. If they have a 100% "spam score", why are they still allowed to use this phone number? Can't the phone company discontinue the use of that number for them?

just got a call from this number. no message was left. i called the number bk from my cell phone (the call came into my home phone) but from my cell phone said found in data base. But when I called it back from my home number they said not found in data base

Ditto - waited for rep - it's about "lowering your credit card interest rate".  I just wanted them to stop calling, got male rep - asked for his name and he hung up...

Seems like these scammers have been busy little bees lately.  We just received the same b.s. recorded message about lowering our credit card interest rates supposedly because "the Fed just lowered interest rates."  Baloney.  The only action the Federal Reserve can take is to raise rates at some point in the near future if 'stagflation' becomes more of a reality (and because rates can't be lowered any further).  We didn't bother pressing "1" to speak to some rude a****ole, but we always report these calls to the 'do not call' website.  NEVER GIVE THESE IDIOTS ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OR CREDIT CARD NUMBERS!

They started calling us today.  They called 3 times.  The 1st time we answered and no one was on the phone.  Then they called an hour later and we let it roll to answer machine as well the 3rd time and no response.

We are also on the Do Not Called list.

Received a call from this number on my home phone at approx 3 p.m. on July 1, 2011 ... I do not answer calls if the number is not familiar ... however, I called the number from my cell phone and received a recorded message, part of which was cut off, but the end was "data base" ...
