This Arabic or Indian accent guy claiming he's Steve Clark, call's a buddy of mine, saying I needed to be located, I was going to jail, I was in trouble, and when I was trying to understand what he was saying, I could tell he was full of crap, and he tried to get me to verify my SSN, which he was claiming was mine. I told him I was hanging up and calling the police. They told my buddy that he was used as a refrence for something that he claimed I was getting in trouble for. RED FLAGS after RED FLAGS!!

I've gotton about 25 calls from 732-710-4380 since yesterday 9/22/09. This guy calls himself Samuel Bishop and says he is with the Department of Criminal Prevention, but his accent is so East Indian I cannot understand half of what he says, except that I am going to be arrested for an online loan I made back in July and even if I didn't take out this loan my name is on it and I owe the money. Blah, blah, blah. Needless to say, I called the local police department and spoke to an officer who said he called the number and it sounded like it was overseas (surprise). I also filed a complaint with the FBI "tips" website, the Florida Attorney General's office and the FTC. But I am still getting calls from these people. Anyone know how to get them to stop calling my phone?

WOW that sam bishop guy called me too and told me he is from the dept of crime prevention and told me i m going to jail for identity theft and that i will be in jail for thirty day and i m going to get my job taken away from me! i just talk to united cash loans and a lady told me not to believe them, its a phish scam!!! he said i owed him 800 bucks! ya right! i got a loan from a legit place for only 250! psycho! your suppossed to turn him in or if he calls you to the federal trade commision and tell him that your gunna call your lawyer! they are looking for him so try and turn him in! he has made my day a living hell and ive never cried sooo much in my life!!

I'VE GOT THE SAME CALL, BUT MY WIFE ANSWER THE PHONE AND THIS HINDU OR INDIA GUY STATES THAT I NEED TO CALL HIM RIGHT AWAY WHEN I GET THIS MEESAGE CAUSE I AM A PRIMARY SUSPECT IN CRIME.  HIS NAME WAS RYAN FERNANDEZ.  SO ANYWAYS I CALL THIS 732-710-4380 AND GOT A RECORDING MESSAGE SAYING THAT I NEED TO LEAVE A MESSAGE.  I RIGHT THERE I THOUGHT TO MYSELF AND THOUGHT THAT THIS IS PRANK OR A SCAM, SO I LOOK UP THE NUMBER ON GOOGLE AND FOUND THIS FORUM FROM THE ABOVE THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE.  
WHAT SHOULD WE DO ABOUT THIS SCAM? ANYONE KNOWS?

I got a call from this guy named Ronald Brown today (10/9/2009. He wants me to call back and the number that he gave me was 732-710-4380. I was devastated because He said that I will suffer the legal consequences of my action. I'm scared because I have some payday loans outstanding to some online lenders but I'm taking care of these loans through Payday Loan Assistance. I called the number and it was a recording too. I try to goggle this number and found this forum.

WOW!!!! I am so thankful I found this forum...I have been getting calls since yesterday saying the samething. I am going to jail or they will come to my job for a payday loan I recieved in July for 250.00. I KNOW I did not do that it would not be worth my time. When I told them a was a lawyer they hung up and I have not recieved a call since then. This angers me soooo much!! Payday loans are for those in need and for someone to try to scam those is need is a SHAME!!! I hope they get caught!

i called this company back and said i was someone else and they said yes i have a loan out and i was going to jail if i didnt pay it back i then asked them were can i send them a check and they said no i have to pay by debit or credit card only if i dont have either to go out and get a prepaid debit card i asked for ryan but earlier they called and said they were tony white i made up a loan amount of 300 dollars and they said it was for that amount then i disconnected the call because i found out they are full of bull.

I just put the number in google and found this forum.  Is this a scam or what.  He asked me for my social security number and then he read off a social security number and named at least 4 of my closest friends. This guy said his name was Tony white and he has called me several times at my office and when I asked to speak to someone who doesn't have an accent, he says he is the only one available.  Last week, the case was suppose to go to Court and today he said the case was going to Court tomorrow.  The last week he gave me an 800 number to call back and today he says he doesn't have an 800 number.

Hey guys, this is a scam through and through. Even if you made a legit payday loan and didn't pay it back this still isn't for you at all. NEVER EVER give anyone your SS# not even the last four digits - especially the last four digits. If they say they have your SS# tell them to tell you what it is. If by some chance they actually have your right number, tell them that's not correct, hang up and immeadiatly check your credit reports to see if you have had your identity stolen.
I just had the same phone call from some undecipherable speaking idiot claiming that I had an important legal matter to clear up. Total Crap.

I have been receiving repeated phone calls that show up as PRIVATE NUMBER or UNAVAILABLE on my cell phone for the past week. They call numerous times on my cell phone and at work. It is the same person who sounds to be Asian or Indian. He claims to be Mark McDonald with legal issue against me. I don't answer the phone, but he leaves a voicemail stating this. He leaves the number of 732-710-4380 to return the call immediately. If I don't respond terrible actions will come against me at my residence and/or work. Also, if I choose not to respond to the very important legal issue it will only cause me a big mess. He never does identify a company in the voicemail.
I have filled a complaint with FBI.

i can not believe this. my mom started getting calls at work. and it scared her because she had gotten a payday loan. and they were rude with her and everything. so i got involved and could not find anything about these people i even contacted a collection agency that i know of and they couldnt either. my  mom is older and shouldnt have to deal with this crap. im so angry and yet what is there really we can do to stop these people?

I think it is better not to talk with these people. They will stop for a while and they will call again after a few weeks but nothing happen to us. No subpoena, no lawsuit, nothing because they are SCAM. Do not give them the opportunity to talk to you, just ignore their calls, and even if you are the one who answered your phone tell them you do not know the person. Do not give them any information or confirm any information even if they knew your information as well as your SS# They started calling me around September then they stop for a while then they called me several times last month then they stop again for a while. Today I received calls to Andy Smith with the call back number of 732-710-4380. Last month the same voice with the same number called me said He is Ryan Fernandez. These people are sick and they just want to get some money from us.

I have receive calls from this same number on my cell and on my job.  They are interrupting me on my job and I could get in trouble for these calls.  I have reported these people several times and nothing has been done.  How can we as victims get relief and help against these people.  If they cause me to lose my job then I don't know what I would do.  They are so mad towards who ever answer the phone and won't transfer their calls to me.  I have been experiencing this type of harassment for a long time until I don't want to answer any calls because these people will get you all upset and before you know it you are screaming at the top of your lungs.  No one should have to go through this over and over especially by people that can not speak correct english and you can tell they are reading a script.  Some body please help us as victims stop these harassing and upsetting calls especially on our jobs.  No one need to lose their jobs especially during this economy.

This person keeps calling me at home and at work stating it is a legal emergency. He won't give any other information. My guy is arabic also. Something needs to be done about these types of SCAM's. Everyone beware!!!
