got this message last night right after using the atm at the casino. coincidence?

I got two calls - one that my card was frozen, and two, that my card starting with number 4626 had been deactivated. Usual crap about putting in your card number to reactivate. They said they were my Credit Union 24 hour card service. How did they get my two cell phone numbers?

I just got the text message (sent 12/12/09) regarding my card starting with 4626*** being DEACTIVATED.  Please call back to reactivate.

The message did not have a caller ID

Either there are a lot of people with a 4262*** card or this is a scam.

Got a text saying my card had been blocked.  Called my credit union.  Was told to ignore and delete. How does the phone company allow this type scam to operate.

I've gotten this same text several times over the past month, asking me to call a variety of different numbers -- 734-238-1700 the most recent.

These scam artists ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Anyone knows how to stop spam coming to a cell phone??

I got a text message on my cell stating: "CO-OP Services CU: Your CARD starting with 4626 has been LOCKED. Please contact us at 734-238-1700 to REACTIVATE your CARD."
This is clearly a phishing scam. From the looks of it, they've been using this number for the last few weeks. It's kind of amazing that law enforcement isn't involved in shutting down villains like this.

Got the same text.  "Community driven CU Alert: your CARD has been SUSPENDED.  Please call 734-238-1700 to REACTIVATE your CARD."

Same as eveyone else. Said my CARD was SUSPENDED. I'm 15 and don't belong to any Credit Union. Has to be a SCAM.

All the comments are pretty recent. Must be a new scam going around. Just ignore it.

Got the same text on my cell from 1-734-238-1700 and another from 1-734-437-0979 about account starting with 4626. TOTAL SCAM!!!

Got a message reading: your CARD starting with 4626 has been deactivated....
I don't even have a card with that number so I ignored it.  Two days later I got another message with the same information. I don't have any accounts in Michigan.

Call back: 734-238-1705
"COOP Services CU: Your CARD has been.LOCKED. Please contact us at 734-238-1705 to REACTIVATE your CARD."

Same thing here although the number that I was asked to call back was 734-238-1705.  I did a reverse look up and it is a lan line in Wayne Michigan.  Must be a scam.  Called from my work number and said leave a message - recorded voice.

got the same message.... but took care of those pieces of crap.... call their number and when the poorly worded digital voice says "enter your credit cards numbers," i called about 5 times and each time  I entered about 6 minutes worth of random digits... called them back and "the wireless customer you are trying to reach is unavailable" whoopsie :)

just got the same text message - CSCU Alert - about my account starting with 4626 being deactivated and I should call 734-612-7509.  No answer and I don't have a card with those numbers.

Got a message from this number saying: "Your CARD has been LOCKED. Please contact us at 734-238-1700 to REACTIVATE your CARD." Very vague, very shady.

said they deactivated my card and to call them they texed me some co-op credit union i have no account with them don't even live in michigan

I Received a text from this # stating my card was deactivated and to call  I tried calling with my# blocked but the call wouldn't go through. I figured it was a scam because I don't have a co-op credit union account

I received the same text. I didn't call the number back. Just called the number on my card to verify my account was ok. Don't call this number back. SCAM

I recieved one text from this number and did not bother calling them. I figured it must be a scam. I have a reputable bank and I know they will not send me a text to tell me that my account had been deactivated. I guess I know better than to call this stupid scams.
