Called today, wanted money for the Policeman's Funds. Told them we can't afford any donations at this time due to low income, we will not be having Christmas this year and may have our home in foreclosure soon. They still asked how much can we give for a donation! NOW THAT IS SAD. WE ARE LIVING IN A SICK WORLD!

I received a call from this number, and because I didn't recognize it, I did not answer.  Googled it afterwards, and got this website.  The caller ID says it is from Williamsburg, Va,

This company calls me every day soliciting money for the Police, then the Fire Fighters, and who knows else.  They are headquartered out of Williamsburg, Va according to my caller ID.  I made the mistake of giving money to the The Fire Chiefs Association.  Now they call and lead off every call reminding me of the pledge I made 5 years ago like I committed to a semi-annual donation.  They are full of BS.  Don't ever make a pledge to this company.  In fact, if they call tell them you just lost your job and your house in foreclosure.  That seems to shut them up.

Called today said that they were collecting money for police charity.I told them I couldn't help and the guy kept trying to talk me into other amounts of money.Finally I hung up on him.

I received a call around 8:30pm claiming to be the police department fundraiser for buckle up for safety.  They wanted money and at the end of the conversation they ended with so I can put you down for $25.

Got this call tonight August 5, 2010 after work. The guy said "Hello I'm freaking terrorist" and then there was laughing on the background. After some pause then he started the sentence which included my wife name, but i hang up. Calling number looked familiar as a call from some police charity, which we sometimes get.

I get these calls daily, just got it twice since I've been home for lunch!!!

Received the same call, they are from an organization representing police officers (or so they say). The best bet is to contact the \BBB to make sure they are legit.

Just got a second call from this number in as many days.  I appreciate the above posts because we have had no idea who or what these "people" are or wanted.  They don't leave a message and we don't answer if there's no caller info on the caller ID.

Picked up after the fourth ring and there was no answer.

I think it's the VA Fraternal Order of Police.  They call ALL the time, never leave a message, and I'm tired of it.  Not sure if this is the exact non-profit, but there is one in VA representing police and they pretty much bully you into pledging a donation.

I am on the National Do Not Call List, but I think non-profits are exempt?

Just got my phone set up and this person calls tonight at 8:37pm while I'm trying to put kids in bed.  I happened to do a google search and came up with this site.

Call Is from a Child Support line they want you to donate some money

Calls constantly, never leaves a message. Caller I.D. says call is from Williamsburg,VA.

Calls all the time. Wants to help me help them since I am retired and disabled.

No message, no one on the phone.  Rude and before 9AM.

Called at 7:30 pm. I live in Norfolk VA, the call is from Williamsburg VA. No message left, just dead air.

charity for children asking for money

I called this number back after they called this morning.  The message says that they are a fundraiser for the leading charity group for children???  No idea what this is about.
