They just called me from 720-452-6471 collecting for the Fire Dept. supposedly. I told them my # is on the do not call list and that means I don't want ANY calls selling anything, even a charity.

these people should be put in jail. this is an invasion of privacy and unwanted solicitation.  and they call early saturday morning and wake everyone up

Message stated that I missed a call from the Fundraising Information Center.

this is the 2nd time they have called me... the first time they said they were a charity for local militry. this time, they said they are raising money for the local police dept. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. If I were you, I wouldn't even confirm that you are the person they are asking for on the phone.

They call multiple times a day plus early am and in the evening late, 9pm on a Sunday.  WHo are they ?  My caller ID used to say Local call, now it says Cheasapeake, VA.

Before you post items to a website like this make sure you have the correct company.  A gentleman posted remarks about CMSI assuming it was the company CMS, INC. which is a fund raising, at the phone # 757-512-6328, which I found out with only one phone call!!!  If he would have bothered to call the 800# on the CMSI website he would have gotten a live person and found out that they are 2 different companies.  2 different businesses!!! WHO RUNS THIS SITE???

It is the "local call" on the caller id that seems particularly deceptive.

I just called this number back, they called my parents house asking for me. This is a not for profit fundraiser company, not the mortgage company

I got 4 calls for this number the first day and 3 the next day. I blocked it through my phone service and the next day I got called from 757-644-4142, 3 times for 2 days in a row. Blocked it and no more calls. Caller ID said "Cheasepeake".

keep getting calls from this number as well.  Haven't picked up so don't know who it is.

757 is the Tidewater area of Virginia...VA Beach, Chesapeake....not a toll free number, so not sure why anyone would use it. My ID states Chesapeake and they have only called once and that was this past week.

called several times last week, just called while i was on "whocallsme.com".  it's a fund-raising organization hired by Virginia Fraternal Order of Police in my case.  i'm sure they do fund raising for other organizations as well.  

someone can check me on this, but i think you're better off donating directly to a charity, these folks take a pound of flesh for their services, plus the caller distinctly said it is "non-tax deductible" contribution - so i'd say everyone loses...

These people call 5 times a day and it's getting annoying. They call as early as 7 AM and as late as 11 PM. Ridiculous. They won't stop calling either. I wish they'd give us their home number and see if they like being called a billion times a week.

The number reads a local call, I'm in Georgia, 757 is local for Virginia

got several calls from this number the last week of June, when I was home recovering from gallbladder surgery.  Kind of curious as to what Pat (comment dated 22 March 2008) meant when s/he said "please be advised--these are NOT telemarketers (emphasis mine).  If they are NOT telemarketers, what the hell are they?  Pat, please enlighten us.

Caller Id said 'local call' but area code 757 isn't local.  I know better than to pick these up.  Didn't leave message when answering machine picked up.

Why doesn't the "Do Not Call" list prevent these irritating calls?  It says it is a local call.  It is NOT in my area code.  Grrrrr!

I have been getting these calls for several days too, by this same number. It says LOCAL and of course it isn't. I did answer once because I was tired of it too. Thinking if I said "No Thank You and please don't call anymore" they would go away. Nope! They asked if I was the lady of the  house and I said "NO"

I AM SO SICK OF THESE PEOPLE CALLING!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY CALL 5 OR MORE TIMES A DAY. SOMEONE PLEAE PUT A STOP TO THESE PEOPLE CALLING PEOPLE THAT ARE ON A NO CALL LIST!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been getting calls from this numbers several times a way.  Is there anyway that we can make them stop calling us?  I'm so sick of these calls.

We get five calls from this number everyday. I ask them to take me off the list, they apologize..and then what happens? The calls start again the very next day. Our caller ID just says "Chesapeake,VA" when they call. Very very tired of these calls.

Called on Sunday, indicating "Local" (even though it obviously isn't). When I picked up to tell them where to shove their phone, there was no one there.

These A-holes have been calling and calling. I blocked my caller ID with *67 and called it. It answers something about being a "Fund Raiser Information Center" and goes on to say they tried to reach me. If I enter my number at the tone they will call me back. When I heard the tone I entered THEIR number. Hopefully it is an automated system and will continue to call them in a closed loop reaching the same automated message over and over again. Ha Ha!!!

I just got my first call from them - did not answer the phone.  I too registered on the "do not call registery" but I guess that does not work for certain groups??

Caller id says LOCAL CALL. Of course it isn't. Sometimes they leave a "non" message; sometimes they don't.

I get calls from "757-512-6328" frequently, and as others have said, it's NOT a local call for me, despite the ID saying so.
