P.S. It's a lesson I had to learn and caused me to reflect back on my teachings of collection practices.  At no time are they allowed to threaten the sanctity of your home, your job, members of your family, or with the threat of arrest.  Class action suits have been brought against groups who have been tracked down and have been made to pay the victims of these types of practices.  Again, I can't emphasize it enough.  We are living in a time when people are being scammed every which way but quit.  And we have to protect ourselves and our assets.  The best advice I can give is to, and as I mentioned, keep accurate records of how much you pay on a debt, and who you paid it to.  Document every phone call you receive and who you spoke with, including dates and times and the number of times per day/week you spoke with them.  As debtors, we do still have rights.

Ok, so I get this call about 10:00 this morning, and it's from a Jason Head, PLC calling from 757-644-6399.  In my recent experience with relentless calls from a so-called collection who had no known real numbers or address, and kept giving me the run around, I have learned to research numbers first before returning any calls.  After reading the complaints here, it's enough for me to turn this number of the a contact person at the Attorney General's office and the FTC, as I have done with the last group I dealt with.

The one thing we have to keep in mind that many of these types of calls who claim they are from attorney offices are not actually attorney offices, and are, therefore, violating many of the collection acts rules and regulations.  I worked for a collection agency and have read the do's and don'ts to collections.  If anyone remembers, there have been huge reports on crack downs on these agencies who are breaking the law.  Truth is if they cannot send you information in the mail regarding the debt at your request, and as they are required to do by law, you have the right to send a certified letter to them requesting that they stop calling your home and/or work place, and request information identifying the debt...at which time, if they do, you can verify their identity as well when you receive the information.

I lost $750 to a group who claimed they would have me arrested if I didn't pay, even threatened my job.  I found out later after another agency called me about the same debt.  I called that company I owed the money to and they said they never got the payment, nor did they ever contract with that agency.  

PLEASE be careful who you pay your money to.  There are collection agencies who are not actual collection agencies.  If you lose your money this way, please keep accurate records of how much you paid and you who paid it to.

Knowing better, and not knowing "them", I did not answer any call..nor
will I either!!

It's always best to "research" a phone # first, before answering a call from any 'unknown' entity.
This operation really sound vicious and very relentless...
Many different phone numbers as a "boilerroom" operation.
Have not found anything good about them and several people have claimed
they have, or will be, taking action to report them to various Atty Gen'ls, FTC, etc.
