The above number is calling me I believe for car insurance.   My daughter saw an advertisement where you can lower your rates.  This number is calling me too many times.  Very irratating for my cell number to get so many calls.

It's a scam.  I did have a payday loan, but OF COURSE it's repaid direct from my bank every payday and then I can renew it if I choose to.  There is NO WAY that there is a debt owed or any of the other "legal disasters" these scammers threaten.  What a pile of BS.  I'd say to block the number.  This is 100% pure undiluted crap, and the person who says the police showed up at his work is obviously either one of the scammers or a shill, as earlier described.  I cannot IMAGINE falling for something like this bull.  No mail, no email, no nothing --  just a heavily accented voice.

They called me THREE times, apparently because the caller kept screwing the voicemail up because I have 2 partial voicemails & 1 complete one. The call came up as 0000. The voicemail was left by an Indian sounding woman (identifying herself as lisa smith..lol) whose English was bad enough that I only caught bits & pieces....something about being having a legal issue.  She never identified who she was calling on behalf of.  I was directed to call 757 942-7550. I hope they're holding their breath waiting for a return call.

This is a total scam!  I have received several calls from these people and once I finally got a little information about the debt they said I owed I contacted my bank to see if I had anything returned NSF like they had said during the month they are stating and my bank said I did not.  No debt collection agency is going to treat you like these people do.  First of all, if you owe a debt you are entitled to know exactly what it is you owe, account number, ect. but they are not very willing to give you the information.  Second, they stated that it was a Pay day loan and said it was a secured loan so I was going to go to jail if I didn't resolve this matter, also false, there is no debtors prison and the worst they could do is make me pay it back, if it were indeed a legitimate debt.  Payday loans are not secured and if they are not paid they go to collections and eventually court but you are given a suppena to go to court, not a phone call from a detective or a back office lawyer.  It is completely illegal that these people are stating that they are detectives and lawyers and I really hope that somebody can put a stop to them getting away with this!  We just filed bankruptcy and beleive me I know from the numerous calls we were getting that these people are con artists and not a valid collection, law firm or whatever they choose to call themselves!

By the way i did really call the attorney general and if these people show up at my work or home they will be in trouble for harrasment.i saved the companys  voice mail. they got belligerent with me and they said they talk to people all the time and they will do what they have to do and that i am going to prison etc Well as i said a debt owed does not put anyone in prison , child support payments maybe not just debts and some pay day loans are illegal themselves. If they could prove i owed something then i would pay it but not just a scam they need to quit and to harrass someone at work is wrong and besided if you tell a company not to call you at work and they do they can get sued for up to 1,000.00 and if everyone will report these crooks maybe we can put them out of business i plan to file a complaint with the federal trade commission in regard to this group. If they really are in west virginia or if they use a phone jack or whatever funny when you call those numbers after hours you get all kinds of things and they have various numbers they use and when calling they use blocked numbers or 0000 or something like that.

this company called and said i owed a pay day loan and so i asked to have the name of the company and they said pay day loan and i asked where they were from and they said it was on the internet so i asked them what i owed and they say 387.00 and i said well i need proof in writing and they said once i paid the bill i would get proof in writing and i said well if i owed the bill why did the company not call me themselves and they said they were going to "download" my case to the court house and an investigator would show up at my work and on my doorstep well i dont work anymore and have moved so good luck to them however i do not believe i owe this debt in the first place as a real company would have called me first or tried to find out if i was going to pay plus usually pay day loans take out of your bank automatically and if they dont get their payment then they would notify you via email or mail or someway and all these so called callers are foreign and its amazing they all sound alike.I told them if the attorney general says in the state of missouri they have to send you something in writing .

I run a switchboard... received a call today, caller has THICK accent asking for one of our employees... I already know this is a bill collector or salesman of some type. So I say they aren't available, then I am told they are with "Criminal Investigation Office" and this person is a "suspect in a crime" - and they needed to contact him right away. I take the phone number down, end the call, then call my local police. Within minutes they call me back, laughing, that they just called the number and the guys...  

At first claim they are a "Fraud Department of the Criminal Investigation Office" but when the cop pushed a bit harder the morons, now scared of a REAL police investigation, immediately admit they are frauds doing debt collecting and that they will no longer be calling my place of business.

So yeah, its all a scam, pass the word, these guys are FAKES trying to scare people into providing information or pay inflated debt amounts.

RECEIVING NUMEROUS CALL FROM THIS NUMBER STATING THEY ARE WITH THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS HAD THE WEST MONROE POLICE DEPT CALL THEM BACK AND SPOKE WITH A SUBJECT WHO SAID HE WAS SAM BISHOP AT A COLLECTION AGENCY AND HE WAS ADVISED NOT TO CALL BACK TO THE CITY HALL
