I received this exact same message and also do not owe any company.

I keep receiving the same kind of calls at my job. The man has a heavy accent and I could barely understand him. He says his name is John Smith. My co-worker asked the first time nature of his call and he stated he was a State Investigator...when did Texas get a 585 area code. The next time he called I answered and asked him what was it in reference to and he stated a legal matter. The same 585 area code has called my house but from a cell phone but the number he left at my job was totally different but same area code.

someone from this number called me claiming that there was a case about to be downloaded to the court system and that I was being sued for a loan that I never got. they proceeded to argue with me, i requested them send me the documentation, asked for the name of their office and they refused. they said that it was a government office and they didnt have to give me that information. they said that they will eventually contact me and see me in court.

They called me with the exact same line and when I called them and confronted them, asking them who they represented they hung up on me.

But get this somehow when they were calling originally they hacked into my voicemail and changed my voicemail message, no kidding!

I recieved the same call earlier in the week and I told the towel head that I would like to see him and the lawcome pluck me out of my house and take me to jail for court. He would not give me the date that the supposedly loan was made but just kept threatening me so Itold him that I would whip his a** if I ever found him. I called my local DA Office and made a report so they could investigate the whole ordeal. It is a scam most likely.

These guys called my cell on 2/3/11 - I didn't answer it at the time because the number was unfamiliar and looked fishy to boot. The guy left a message, saying he was "Kevin Marvin" (with THAT accent? Yeah, right) and he was from "state investigation department." The message wasn't actually for me, it was for a FRIEND of mine, whose name ol' Marv couldn't pronounce right. Not only that, but he claimed he was "looking for old family member," and named ANOTHER friend of mine, whose name he also mispronounced. The two people he named are NOT related to each other, they're just friends with each other and with me. I couldn't understand anything he said after that because of his accent, although I think there was something in there about "active duty." Neither of my friends is in the service, of course.  The call cut off in the middle of a sentence, and there was no number left to fall back. I called the friend who "Marv" said was the family member he was looking for, and she'd said she'd also gotten a call from him. So far neither of us has heard anything else. My friend's Facebook account was hacked the other night, and Im wondering if this is where these jerks are getting their information? Im just puzzled as to how they got my cell phone #, which I've given just to close friends.

I receive the same exact message the others received. I have no loan from this or any other payday loan company...Defintely a scam.

I received another call today with a message left for me to contact this individual claiming to be from the "Buerau of Criminal Investigation" who is of Indian desent.  I telephoned him at (914) 297-7204 and I asked him to tell me when I allegically received these funds. Watch out for this number.

However, I have checked with my bank to ensure that these funds were not received into my account.  Overall, this is a fraudulent matter in that, "this is a scam."

I have been receiving these calls too and just today the guy told me that law enforcement is on their way to my house to pick me up. I told the guy I never received any paperwork in the mail and I have no clue what he is talking about. He called me a Dirty B*tch and I hung up on him. I too received a call from 760-1111000 from a Kim Thomas, who by the way has a foreign speech, which made it a little difficult for me to understand what was being said to me. So, she called me back because of the language barrier, to ensure that the feedback in the telephone will be clearer, for we were being recorded.  Further into our conversation, she asked for my “Social Security Number and a copy of my Drivers License be faxed (206-337-1851) to the attention of a Marcus Garner, who is an attorney for this is a legal matter.”  As she continued to speak, she stated that I had “received a loan from U.S.Payday Cash in the amount of $300.00.  So on today, I followed-up concerning this matter with my “Bank” to ensure that this Kim Thomas had me missed up with some other person.  Now Kim Thomas, further stated to me “Contact your government and tell them to send you your money so that you could take care of this loan,” and I stated “I do not know what country you maybe in or from, but you do not tell the United States government anything, for they dictate to us.”  With that said, I further new that this woman was full of it.  Kim Thomas also informed me of what to say in the letter to this Marcus Garner, and I it is as follows: “I am willing to resolve this matter out of court due to the fact that I am unemployed, and that there is no need to say any more.”

I keep receiving this phone call probably on off for 6 months . They tell me the same things all the time , I let them know that they have call me before and them I tell them  that they s wrtite my name so they dont have to waste theire time calling me every other month telling me the same things.760-111-1000.

I got a call from a person saying I owed the $500.00 and they would not give me any proof. When I ask for the company name and phone # it keep going back to the same person. She the said she will consulate her lawyer Marcus gardner. i ask why haven't they contacted me before. She never answer the question.  I save all my contrct from loan comp[any and this is not one of them. She alos told me to fax a copy of my drivers license to them. the fax 206-337-1851.

I continue to get harassing phone calls from this number!!! They started calling about owing money to a payday company. Then when I told them I knew this was fraud and that they couldn't do anything. The man started cussing me out. Telling me that I was a prostitute and he wanted to pay me for sex. Then he even threatened to kidnap my child. Who can I report this to?

I had the exact same message/conversation as pe'd off.  The called my cell phone from 7601111000 and left two messages.  When the called my work the number was 561-214-6310 but the number they told me to call back as 760-713-6517.    When I tried to ask them for information about when this transaction took place the yelled at me. I called the number back and asked what state they were from and he said ohio but the number they left is from california and the payday loan company US payday cash is in South Dakota.  He said I defaulted with my bank (which I still have) so that is ridiculous.  I don't even know this payday lender and how can I default if I still have this account.  I'm waiting for my attorney to call me back.

I received a voice message from this number that stated, " This message is intended for .........., ....... this is Jessica Hobb calling you from State Investigation Department, this message is to inform you that there is a check fraud case against you, which is going to be downloaded in the court, so as soon as you receive my message I want you or your retained attorney to return my call on my on my department number 419-665-6853, I repeat that is 419-665-6853, don't try to disregard my message, return the call as early as possible or else you will be in a serious legal trouble. Thank you have a blessed day."
I called them back which an operator came on and said I am not allowed to make the call, then they call me back from the 760-111-1000 number and Jessica Hobb shortly transferred me to a guy with a heavy accent that I could barely understand. I couldn't catch his name he said he was the legal attorney for the department. I told him I never applied for a loan from that company and that if there is a case against me that I want to see the proof, he told me the name of my bank, then I asked him if money was transferred to my bank account can I have the date of the transaction and the amount because I haven't received any amount of money transferred to my account. Then he told me they do not have the date and two transactions was made the first one being $100 and the second for $200. He said that they transferred the money and tried to take it back out but my bank would not return their money. I started to get mad so I was basically screaming at the guy to send me proof, an email, or something to let me know of this case against me and he told me I would need to hire a lawyer if I want to fight this case. I told him if you said your company transferred $300 wouldn't it be a waste of money to hire a lawyer and waste even more money, I might as well just give you the $300 as a donation but this isn't right I want proof. He started laughing and laughing and I asked him what is so funny why are you laughing? He said it was because he never heard a person get so angry over the phone like that and that I should just pay it. I told him I'm not cooperating to anything nor did I consent to any loans from this company. He told me I will hear about it in court and hung up. I don't know if it's a legit company or not but he would not cooperate with me by simply sending me any information on this case against me. This is the first time they have ever contacted me by phone and I have not received any emails or postal mail prior to this case regarding any loans. I have never had a loan from them or any other loan company ever in my life except for my car but that's directly from the dealer. So if anyone knows any information about this company or if it's legit or not I would truly appreciate it. I am worried about this cause it involves legal action and a case against me, which I have never dealt with this type of situation before.

Yes this is a scam...they have been calling me all weeek and I continue to ignore them.  Now they are stating that they're from the local sherrif's department in Ohio.  They all have heavy foreign accents and call from numbers like (760) 111-1000, (850) 388-0138, (707) 470-0777 and even appears on my caller ID as a 911 emergency call. These individauls have even beagn to start calling my place of employment which is beginning to really cause problems.  Is there anyone with any information as to how I can get these individuals to stop calling?  Please let me know asap.  Thanks!!

this is most definitely a scam. we got calls from a different number several months ago, but with the same bu***hit. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY OR INFORMATION BESIDES WHAT THEY MAY ALREADY HAVE!!! i looked this up online and its a big issue right now that the federal district attourney is trying to do something about. they get your information by illegal means and then use that to convince you that you owe something you really dont and send them money. by federal law, if you request proof of a debt in writing, that company has 30 days to provide that proof or the debt is null and void, so if you ask them to send it and they give you the run around about it, its bogus.

TRY THIS, IT HAS WORKED FOR ME...the last time we were getting these calls, i called them back and confronted them about the scam and told them to stop calling. i told them about federal debt collection laws and that they were under investigation by the us federal government for the scam they are running. of course, they are good at their game so they really didnt take that too hard. so then i just started calling them over and over to every number i had for them, saying "how does it feel to be harrassed and scammed??? dont like it do you??? i got alll day, ill keep calling you till you get the hint and leave me the hell alone!!!"  it didnt take but about 4 calls and they had blocked my cell number, so then i called them from my home number, few calls later, that one was blocked too. then i decided to call them from my husbands cell too, just to make sure all my numbers were blocked. and sure enough, couple calls later, blocked that one. i didnt get any calls from that number again. now months later, they have a new one going and i did the same thing....2 calls and numbers were blocked. lmao. not sure what to tell anyone who is getting calls at work, other than to explain to your boss that its a scam and they got your info somehow and maybe see if your boss doesnt mind you calling them repeatedly from the work number too so they block or remove it from their lists. cuss them, be very agressive and let them know you wont fall for their crap and hopefully they will leave you alone. i flat out told the guy calling that their scamming crap got my mother so upset she had a heartattack, and that he better hope she doesnt die, because if she does, he wont have to worry about the us federal government finding him, i will hunt him down and kill him myself!! he hung up so fast and hard, i think he probably broke his phone. lmao. hope this helps. hang in there and dont give in to these a**holes!

I keep getting calls from them as well. They started out calling from an ("850 #) now they are calling from 760-111-1000.  I am so sick of them!! They keep calling my job repeatedly.  Asking me" How does it feel to be a criminal?"  "If you want to keep your job, you better call me back!"  I say to them, "if you want me to call you back then you better speak ENGLISH!!!!" Then they give me an attorney's information Marcus Garner 206-337-1851 to fax over some paperwork.  I asked for their mailing address so that I can mail it to them, they say they don't receive mail WTH!!!  The caller keeps saying his name is Robert Mayfield or Alfred Smith.  How did they get those common english names with such heavy accents??? This is smells like scam.  What really got me hot was when they were calling my references from a previous application and my references were like, "why did you give out my information?"  So frustrated :(

I have been dealing with this Marcus Garner since April.he is no attourney,He is the ring leader of the scam,He used to curse me out in Indian and call me a BanChut and many other awful names.

They stole my personal info don't give any of your info. They use some BS scare tactic to make you send money.

These are Indians and other non English speakers who are running a scam to scare innocent people into sending them money. I have been getting these calls for months with no hope of them letting up. I guess they think we're that stupid. Now they're calling my relatives. At least one payday loan company's website was hacked and our personal information compromised--stolen is a better word. I never took out a loan, but I did apply for one. I could prove that I didn't as well. Seriously, though, their command of the English language is laughable. Their understanding of our legal system and jurisdiction is even more laughable, and their understanding of our law enforcement is even more laughable. Do they really believe that a private company can send out law enforcement to arrest someone?  Further, in a conversation with the attorney general's office in my state, I was told that even if I had defaulted on a payday loan, it is not usually an offense designed to bring on charges such as these idiots are trying to convince me of. It is not illegal to default on a payday loan. A real payday loan company also would have sent letters in writing--all legitimate companies would do so. And you would probably have an American on the line as well, not someone who absolutely cannot speak English.  I know its annoying and can make one very angry as it does me, but please do not give them any money, none whatsoever.

I get these calls and got one from 419-665-6853 today. I tried to call it back this evening and no one was answering.  Funny, they can make the calls, but not answer the calls. This has been going on for a long time. I was given some very funny suggestions to get back at them. Scamming the scammer. I won't leave any ideas here, though, because I have seen where they actually go out and read these posts.

I have been getting the same calls frm these people and just tonight thy started calling at 7pm thy called 10 times back to back b4 i took my phone off the hook, thy state thy r frm state investation and i took a loan out i did not take a loan out i looked up all their number on the computer and it is a scam i told them it was a scam and i was gonna get thm for harassment he just laughed at me bcuz he knws noone can call them bck

I have received a harrassing call from this company stating I owe almost $1,000.00 for a payday loan from a loan company I've never heard of. I am going to send all these messages posted to the Better Business Bureau. They wanted account information to settle this loan. I am so glad I entered there number to see the messages & blogs you all have left. The same names that you people listed are the same ones they have given me.

I have gotten the same calls.... none of them legit. This number has called my cell phone 10 times today alone- my husband's work 6 times yesterday- and my home phone 4 times today. NONE of this is legal. Do Not pay them.... If you google the 419-665-6853 number they want you to call it is just some indian/middle eastern man. He is very hard to understand and was angry at me when I called him out on his being a scam because I looked thru all of my paperwork and I didn't get any loan from him. If you actually look up the loan company he claims you owe money- it is a website search engine for payday loans....When I told John Fisher-or-Brandon Phillips(whoever this creep is) about the website search engine he got very mad; he cussed at me in whatever language he speaks and hung up. I have reported this to the FBI and to the FCC. If the jerk keeps calling I will contact the police and make a claim against him. I'm not sure what else we can do.

I am getting harassment calls right now from both numbers and to send a letter to Marcus Garner. Who do I call to stop this? I'm soooo ready to cry. Help! Do I call the police or what?

they say they are "State Investagations Ohio" who they are or arent at this point is irrelavent.  The calls have become increasingly harrassing and they are made to a federal installation (which is illegal) I just need to know how to block them.
