They call every day. Indian decent . They leave a message they are with the Department of Fraud Investigation. I spoke with them one time told them to send me something in writing and my attorney would respond to it. NOTHING.

Been getting calls from this number on and off for weeks, sometimes multiple times in one day, claiming I have viruses or malware on my computer and trying to get me to open my computer's Registry.
Always someone with a think Indian accent. Name of company always has "Windows" in it. Clearly trying to make it sound like there are something official.
Clearly bogus. They say they receive "reports" from "monitoring services" about spam etc. coming from my computer. When I ask where they get my number from, they mumble something about "data providers" or "research services".
I can't get them to stop calling - explaining to them in detail that you are not a moron, claiming to only have macs (they only care about PCs), or simply hanging up on them doesn't keep them from calling back later.
The only time these guys will stop is when the time it takes until they stumble on someone dumb enough to install their software is too high to justify the effort.
So now I waste their time. I tell them to hold while I start up the computer, I tell them it's frozen and I need to reboot (they love this - they think this 'proves' to me I have a virus), sometimes I put them on call while I "quickly take care of this other call". Meanwhile I do other work, eat, read, go to the bathroom (they never seem to figure out what that flushing sound is), whatever.
My record is 7 minutes of their time wasted.

Yup, called for my wife. Had information from Microsoft that her computer was giving error messages.
