I recieved a call from 760-514-0148 today from a Nathan Jones saying he was an attorney calling to collect money for a loan, wanted me to give him my bank information to take money from my account. Called the local police department and they told me that they have had several calls about this same number and that it is a scam . Dont give them any of your personal information report them immediately to your local police department.

I was told that I would be taken to court on Monday.  I simply hung up the call.

I just got a call from someone claiming to be Brown Law Firm representing American Credit Bureau, parent company of USCash. And that they were going to be taking me to court on Monday if I was not ready to resolve the "issue". They were ready to provide me with a case number and everything. LIES, LIES, LIES!!!! Dont let these people fool you and definitely dont send them any money.

Ok.... So now that we all know that this is a scam, how can it be stopped?  Because I did pay for a nonpublished number to have some vietnam or whatever they are call me with my personal information. For whatever reason these people have my bank information ss# and I believe that they are using my social security number!!  Now I am mad as HELL....

Let's see.  Some guy with the thickest foreign accent leaves a message saying his name is Thomas Parker.   How American a name is that!  He goes on to begin reading from a script - the delays in the dialogue left on the voice mail are laughable.  He's going to take me to court for an alleged loan I have not repaid.   Yeah, right!    I work for a law firm and know the ins and outs of the legal system.  These guys are trying to scam us all so DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFO OR BANK INFO to anyone you don't know and trust.  I was struck by these scumbags earlier this year and luckliy got the bank to reverse the ACH withdrawal.  I closed my account and the only people who have it are my employer payroll dept. and electronic payments for my car loan, etc.   Be wary of these guys.  It's the holidays and they need money!

Got a call from Justin Smith 760-514-0148 and I know that I don'e owe any loans, but I do have a payroll cash advance open and this happened about a couple of months ago, as soon as the cash advance was paid back, the calls stopped. I will not even pick up the phone when I see a number I don't know and I suggest you do the same.  Justin Smith, with a heavy accent that is almost too hard to understand left me a message to have my attorney call him.  Hopefully the calls will stop when the advance is paid off in a couple of weeks. But be on your guard and don't even return the call or give any information, better yet, don't even pick up the phone if you don't recognize the number and good luck

i recived a cal from same number. someone said he is attorny. i asked his barcode number. he gave his barcode num. i verifyed. that was right. i askd for case number. i verfyd on brown law firm website. that was correct. my case status was (NOT YER EXECUTED) i took $700 for cash advance as payday loan. i failed to pay back to them on time coz i was unemployed that time. i askd them for paper work. they said no option of pay back now. so i insisted. n they said ok. n i askd for settlement amount. they said including interest d $900. i said ok. they said that after the system is updated with my information, them there system wil generate paper work with the referance number. i said i wil pay from VISA CARD. they took all info. i paid thus bill in 2 paymnts as $450. after they took my card info. they asked for fax num. i gave them. they sent me paper work. i fill that form n sent back to them. so i think this company is legid. my son is lawyer he verfyd all the things. he said if this case is executed them all cost of case will b near about $5500. atrny NATHAN JONES helped me to resolve this case out of court with OOCR document. i m very thankful to him.

Oh ya and there is not any informaion on this brown lawfirm or American credit bureau.  People do your homework before giving out personal information

I have just received a call from these people at work. Its like my heart sank when i heard the voice. I am young and fell for this trick once earlier this year. Well not this time. I told the guy i have strict instructions from my laywer not hand out his information and have him contact them. At this point the guy did everything but hang up on me to get off the phone, Amazing how thomas parker is aisan and the other guy is aulstrian......Anyway dont fall for this!

These people haven't ever called me, but I saw this thread and thought I'd have some fun with them.  I didn't get very far.  I called and said I am an attorney and my client is being harassed at work by someone at this number and as soon as he heard the word "attorney" he started yelling gobbeldy gook at me and hung up.  Ha!
