I got a call from "744-8820" No area code, but I am in the area (though my number has a different area code). Regardless...no message.

I received a call from this number today. I answered the call. A recorded said it was a bank and my account had been suspended. Press one to have security reactivate my account. I could not understand the name of the bank, I did not press one and just hung up. I am sure it is a scam. I went online and found another website 800.notes.com with posts of other people receiving calls from this number.

I got this call at 7:00am. They said they were from American Securities and that my ATM card had been suspended due to fruad. Then to push 1 to reactivate, I pushed 1 and then it asked me to enter my card number at that point I hung up and called my bank to check on my card. My card was fine.

Weds, May 26, 2010 6:56pm. 612 area code, a call from "744-8820" came in, it was an automated messaging saying that my credit card was being suspended, (they had the right bank). If I wanted to have it reactivated press "1", then it asked for the credit card number. I hung up and called the number back, said it was no longer in service. I then called my bank to report it.

Same here. I'm 612 and no area code came up. I missed the call.

yep, me too. mine's a 612 phone & the only thing that came up was "744-8820". i know that the 744 part is usually the blaine area, but it would have to have a 763 area code. this smells like another scam.
