Who actually gets money and how besides cellphone company?

I was charged $15.94 and somehow was charged for 6min even tho no one picks up. I dont have international calling on my plan.

Phone rang 2 times and hung up. Then when I called back they played techno music with please wait for the operator. Waited 15 minutes and then got disconnected.  That was 6 weeks ago.  Today I got my mobile bill and was charged $27.37 from them.  Its a SCAM line please do not call back.  Call came from Raussaue Dominica.

SCAM ALERT!!! Do NOT call this as a call back and try to see who called you. This is a scam.  I was charged $3.00 on my daughter's cell phone bill.

One and two ring calls from Caribbean Country's (Montserrat, Dominica,Jamaica, Grenada,  Antiqua and Barbados, Saint Lucia..) should not be called back! These calls are done so you will call them back and cram your phone bill with high Call costs:

Missed this call and glad I did - I have put my number on do not call list for the last 10 years but still get crap like this. Someone needs to do something!

Received a call from this number while away from my phone. I do not answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.

Just had a missed call today at 8:30 from this number. I googled it and then Blocked it. I never answer to any number I don't recognize. Thanks to all the Bloggers reporting this.

Got a call from this number on Friday.  Thankfully I didn't answer it.  It is now blocked!

This number called me at 5:30am. Probably a scam in Dominica.

Received call..missed when I picked up. Called it back and it wouldn't go thru.

Just hope that there are enough reports of calls such as this to stop them - well, that's wishful thinking - to curtail them.  Thanks,

I got this call at 5:57 AM...my phone says it is from Dominica.  Luckily, I didn't hear it ring and didn't call it back.  Also, I'm with AT&T so this scam must not be limited to just Verizon.

I got calls from 3 different numbers i don't know.  all 3 times my phone just rang twice and hung up before i could answer. just talked to Verizon. these are scams, they want you to call back then you get charged international and long distance charges.

received a call from this number today 1/22 @1pm...did not answer.

Received a call at 8 15AM Pacific Time on my cell......fortunately missed it...called Verizon and they said to NOT CALL BACK.

SCAM... Did not answer.  The phone companies are making money every month, seems like some of it needs to go into stopping this kind of crap.  it cant be that hard to identify due to the way you have to obtain phone #'s and the volume of traffic they consume.

This is a scam, if you applied to jobs on craigslist, they may have gotten your number from there.

I got a call from this number this morning around 11AM. They left no message. I *67 the number but it would not accept the call. Then I see the number was out of country. WOW  Wonder if the NSA knows?
