I got a call from this number: 866-587-8745.  I noticed one of you was given that number but was told it's in Gainesville.  I'm in Charleston, SC.  I had an MRI months ago but paid my part out-of-pocket.  Thus, I do not owe that MRI facility anything.  Smells like a scam to me.

I have received a few calls from this number.  They are calling about a balance due from an MRI about 1 month ago. This is not a scam... I owe them money, as insurance didn't cover it.

this number continues to call me but the message on it is disconnected.  the message sounds like it's been recorded by another device

I just received two calls from this number one yesterday and one today.  Thanks to these post, I will now have this number blocked....

Today I received several calls with this callers ID.

As you when I re-dialed I got the same message.  

I got lucky, l hope!  It was an Oriental dialected female.  She gave me her name = Marlen.  I spelled it wrong, back to her.  She immediately corrected me.  
I keep asking for the name of the company she called me about a medical bill I owed.  She first told me I could call her back any time and she would give me her extension.  The phone connection was very bad on my end, but she said she could hear me perfectly.  She was very smart.  When I asked her to call me right back so we could have a better connection.  She said she was calling about an outstanding balance of $....  

She must have thought she was going to lose me.  She gave me this # 866-587-8745.  Also, the company she was calling me about was Gainesville.  I had been to several medical facilities in the past few weeks and it is about when I should be receiving my part after insurance.  

After several attempts to get my credit card #, she finally said Gainesville Open MIR.  I had been there.  She told me the amount due, which is about what I expected.  

Now, she gets patient again, because she wants that credit card #.  I give her one and ask for an authorization #.   She keeps asking if I want a receipt sent to my address.  She reads the correct address.  I say it is correct, and then she is gone.

So, I was leery since I had read your comment after receiving three (3) calls already.  I don't think it is a scam, but I'm calling MIR and then the 866#.  Afterwards, I may have to call the CC bank.

Tks for your post; and, I hope my little bit of info helps you and others.  Scams can appear so legitimate.  I don't think this a scam, but it is better safe than sorry!

When you return the call to this number - a recording states it has been disconnected !!
