Getting numerous calls from 15c#c as well. Never answered. No messages left. Tried to block it using W8 phone software but get errors on this number only and won't block. Chatted with my provider and they can't block either.

I just got the text also- Rebecca Vasquez is the name and the email is LADY_REBARCIH@ATT.NET along with a New York number 347-842-0952... If its too good to be true- it is!

Texted about my car on Craigslist. Wants to pay me through MY paypal. Scammer.

Just found these posts. I'm dealing with them now and appreciate the "heads up"

They text me, interested to by my Toyota and later they ask for my paypal sent me email address ( LADY_REBARCIH@ATT.NET) to send them my paypal email. I called them they just have a message leave your name, then transfers to another, no answer, then a voice mail asking to leave  them a message......I did not and then soon after that I got a call I answered but no one said anything got cut within 10 seconds, number shown was 15c#c. I knew there is something phishy then I checked online I see that its not the first time.......hope authorities will help get them out of predating.

Here is how the "PayPal Scam" works:

Says they will buy the item and will pay extra to cover charges by his shipping agent.
Says he will PayPal the funds and instruct you to send the extra money via wire transfer or pre-paid card to the agent.
He then sends you a fake PayPal deposit notice email, spoofing the official PayPal notice, that says the money has been put into your account.
You, thinking PayPal has your money, go ahead with the wire/prepaid transfer to the shipping agent, who is really the scammer.
After that, you then find out there was no money transferred to PayPal and are out the money your wired.


Here is how a "Craigslist Scam" or any other "I will send you a check for more than you asked" scam works:

He pays for the item + extra funds to cover his shipping agent costs with a bank draft or cashiers check.
He sends you a check, tells you to cash it and send the extra money to his shipping agent via wire transfer or prepaid card.
You cash/deposit check and wire/prepaid the funds to the agent.
Later, the check bounces as it was counterfeit. The money you sent to the agent, who is really the scammer, is unrecoverable due to it being wire transferred/prepaid card.
You are out money and now run the risk of being arrested for passing a counterfeit check.

Tried to purchase Yukon and keeps pushing Paypal as the payment.   Gave the phone number as well.  Did a quick check on the internet and found the scam.  Can not advertised anywhere, just a sign on it as you drive by in NJ.  Really wish there was a way to put and end to these people.

Received a text message from that number wanting to know if the vehicle that I have listed on craigslist is still for sale.

LADY_REBARCIH@ATT.NET texted my husband today saying she was interested in purchasing our pool table (it was on Craigslist which is how she got his phone number). Offered us a good price for it and said she wanted to pay via PayPal, so we invoiced her via PayPal. She later texted him and offered even more money for the moving and delivery of the table. An hour later, after sending her a new invoice with the new, higher price, she claimed she had paid, and had not. I quickly googled her email address and found this info. This person is a scammer. DO NOT listen to anything she says.
