Just got this number sent to me by text message, too, saying it's from a Credit Union. SCAM!! Called back from a land line and a recording comes on asking you to enter you account number...

Got a txt with this number and 512 716 7980...enter your account number so they can take care of your account which has been frozen. HA. If someone wants to help me with my "frozen" account...a phone call and not a txt would be great. SCAM!!! Look out.

Received text on 16 Feb 10 at 2:24 PM. Text read: Alert: Guadalupe CU Account Limited. Call 770-755-5067. Although Guadalupe Credit Union is a legitimate business in Santa Fe, NM, 770 is NOT a legitimate area code for that town. Besides, I don't have an account with Guadalupe. My husband received the same text, at the same time, on his cell.
