I received a Text Message from this number - with no name, which said & I quote
"Hey girl haven't been back lots going on but i would like to set up an appt with you after the 22nd."

The message was sent to 10 different ppl as it came through as a group message with 10 recipients as individual conversations (for those who do not text this means if you reply, it will be sent to the sender only and not the sender plus all the other 10 ppl). I do not give my number to anyone I do not know and never reply to numbers I do not know because I have received other scam texts and a scam text can attach a virus to  programs on a smart phone like your email or FB. So I did not reply to this one either and have not gotten any other messages. So I don't know what would happen if I did communicate with this number via text but defiinatly a SCAM! Do not reply

she said she was special investigator sandra Banks and their was a civil complaint filed against me in my county,and said it was case # FCB1719. Then I got a call from my mother and ex-wife (in another state and they said that they had called them also, as well as a neighbor of theirs that doesn't even know me. It's definitely a SCAM!

got numerous calls from them stating if i didnt pay socalled debt a warrant would be issued for my arrest in 24hrs. scared and extremely naive i gave them my info and went home, did a little research and found out that they are scamming hundreds of people. closed my bank acct and they became extremely agitated by that. called me cussing me out, telling me to say goodbye to my family for i would be going to federal prison for three yrs for check fraud! ive been harrased by sal ferrentino mary brooks bob young jeffrey thorn sandra banks dan wilson mike mccloud and this is their address 191 peachtree st ste 3300 atlanta georgia 30303. they refuse to send any sort of proof of socalled debt when i ask them. legally they HAVE to do that if you ask them. REAL debt collection agenys DO NOT operate this way and neithr do REAL SPECIAL INVESTIGATORS. they say they are from the SPECIAL CRIMES DIVISION. my a**! special crimes unit of what? the georgia police dept? nope, they never heard of them? the fbi? same! Recived a call from this same number from a special investigator Chris Codit or Compty and Jonathon Tapia. Calls went out to both set's of our parents as well as my brother. The information they had on us was extremely accurate and correct concerning a company we had used in 2000 and apparetnly owed a large amount but they wanted to settle for $250. We unfortunantley fell for it and gave our bank info. Thankfully we had a diligint family member that goggeled the number saw it was a scam and we were able to shut down our acct. in time before they had a chance to pull out anything. When I called the # back to inform them they would not be getting any payment from us I was met with a cussing hostile response....that is definintley the way to get your money. Thank you for allowing me to post this if it can help anoyone else. Talk about feeling stupid!

Total scam. Do not give them ANY information., Scavenger collectors - they buy old or bogus or invalid debts for pennies, then try to collect hundreds or thousands.

Do not be intimidated. Ignore them, laugh at them. They are not legitimate.

Or, if you are willing to consider legal action against them - ask them for their contact information, legal name of company, phone, address where they can be served, full legal name of the person calling you.

I got a call from this place yesterday. Actually they neve called me they called my parents and my brothers work cell. Which is not even listed under his name and I think I have only called that phone once. Anyway. They don't know there lawas that is for sure. They say they are going to serve me but the debt is like 14 years old and in the state of texas after 4 years they can't do anything about it. So let them serve me, I will get them good. and when I do call them and they refuse to give me an address or fax number to send them something is against the law as well.

i received a call from some one claiming to be an investigator  name dawn michaels claiming i owed a det from a credit card  that i have never had they had all my information they said the amnt was 568.00  and they would settle out of court for  250.00  or they where goin to send out a supena for me to appear in court  the name of the company they said they where calling from is legal support jurisdiction  services , they treaten to serve me with a warrent and that they would file suite with me for theft of goods

My sister in Concordia M has been receiving calls from this number and three others.  One stated he was a "special investigator with he Atlanta PD as did another woman (Julie Coe).  They are also connectd with a Collection agency in Las Vegas which will be checked out.  I have been in the law for 17years now and these are byfar the most sophisticated and bold.  Claiming to be a law enforcement officer either state or federal in a dangerous.  Under NO circumstances give them your checking account, social security, or any other personal information.  Also do not write checks post dated or otherwise.

I just got a call also from Sandra Banks i got them pissed off they hung up on me so i did not give any info.. yup Scam!!!

Just received the same (crap)message from Sandra Banks on both of my business lines whick was answered by the answering machine.
Did not recognize the named accused given by her.
I can only surmise that its all bogus.
Did not waste time responding.
Could be a phone bill is in your mail if responding to this scam.
Legal notices are never delivered in this fashion.
Do not respond.

I received a phone call from this number at my place of employment from a woman who identified herself as Special Investigator Sandra Banks.  Ms. Banks asked me if I had gotten picked up by the police for non payment of a signture loan.  I advised Ms. Banks that the loan she called me about was filed in my Bankruptcy and asked her why was she calling me?  Ms. Banks placed me on hold for a length of time and then came back on the line to tell me that she could do an out of court settlement for $250 and I wouldn't have to worry about a citation being filed against me.  I told Ms. Banks I did not have any money at that time and advised her that I would consult with my lawyer and call her back.  When I called Sandra Banks back another person answered the phone advising me that he was her supervisor and when I asked if they wanted me to fax them a copy of my bankruptcy paperwork reflecting that the bill they were calling me about was in fact listed a debt in my bankruptcy, they advised me that they did not need the paperwork and to hold on to it until I receive a letter from the Prosecuting Attorney and show the Prosecuting Attorney that the bill was satisfied.  This phone became really strange to me so I called information to determine the name of the company linked to this phone number and information did not have this company listed.  Therefore, I decided to go online and found out that other people had filed a complaint as well.  I never give my personal checking account or Visa Check Card information to anyone over the phone so this was an alarm that made me investigate the matter further.

I recieved a call from investagtor Mahoney yesterday, 11.17.08, and he said he was with my local court system looking for someone that previously lived at my house.  I asked him if this was a scam (because something just didnt add up) and he said no but told me he would not be calling me again.  SCAM!!!!!

Same as other post; Jeffrey Thorn calls a family member stating a credit debt with a co-signer is over due, requests a checking account no. yada-yada yada. When I called and told them to stop calling and that I would pursue them through legal means, they hung up. What a scam.

a jeffrey thorn called to say he was sending out a supoena to my elderly mother, i called the number after she told me and the phone was answered investigation unit.  after speaking w/thorn he said that i needed to speak with someone other then himself. i spk w/ a jack divine and he informed me that a family member owed money and that they were holding my mother responsible foe 2800. plus and if i give my checking acct number they could settle for 1000. when i told him he could not get blood from a turnip he said he wou.ld give 24 hrs to make good
