I got a call on my cell just before 1:00 p.m. this afternoon (central time zone) but wasn't able to answer it.  Decided to check online to see about the number.  Glad I did.  Will NOT call them back.

Thanks for all the comments.

Scammers, if you ever read this board, reconsider your career choice and switch to an honest living. There are people whose daily existence is simply to bring individuals such as yourself to justice. If you get caught and wind up in jail, or worse, a victim decides to hunt you down themselves, you can't complain. That's what's called an, "occupational hazard."

got a call this morning and knew it was a scam since i don't have an account with park bank.  anyway, i was bored so i played along and gave them some false info.  i ended up talking to a real person and got them to hang up after sexually harassing the person.  i must have hit home real close on something since i pretty much had her in tears.  it was so great!

Calls were made to my cell# and my spouse's cell # at 10:55 p.m.! When I anwsered, the message said it was from "Dakota Bank", which neither of us do business with. However, when my spouse called back the # showing on the phone, a message service picked up for "Column Crafters" in GA. HMMM...seems to be an attempted scam.

Same as everyone else: got a call at 7 am saying my credit card had been deactivated due to suspicious activity, and to press 1 to reactivate.  I was suspicious b/c the voice was EXTREMELY robotic--guess these spammers are cheapskates!--and because whenever 'suspicious activity' had previously occurred on my BoA card, a live person from BoA would call me within minutes of my making the purchase, not at 7 am!  I did press 1, despite these suspicions, because they said they were calling from Kansas City, which is where I'm from and where my bank accounts are located.  After pressing 1, the voice then asked me to enter my credit card number.  That's when I knew something was up and hung up.  Anywhere else I can report this besides here? Somewhere more official?

GOD. Those kinds of computerized voices scare the cheese out of me. Especially when my stuff gets "deactivated". Well, its 8:40pm, and I don't appreciate those kinds of calls. Ugh. It told me to press 1 to talk to someone or something.
eugh.

I got a call from this number and it is indeed column crafters in Georgia. I talked to the company manager and they are working with local authorities to try to figure out how the scammers are using their phone number to scam people in 5 states. The problem is there are no laws against this type of high technology scam and catching the people is really impossible because they route all over the world and are virtually untraceable. This is a nightmare! I get charged for every incomming call because I have a pay as you go plan and have changed my number 3 times and they still get me. This Stinks! I am even on the do not call list but they keep comming! Anybody got any advise?

Received a call from this number at 11:37p, left on our cell phone voice mail.  It said that our account at the **** (distorted) Federal Credit Union has been compromised and we are to push 1 to temporarily suspend the account.  I googled the number before I called anyone.  Thanks to all who post...it is great information and probably save me a huge hassle.  .

I received a phone call from 770-965-7660 at 7:00 am, February 13, 2010.  I disconnected the call.  Wondered who that was and figured they would call back.  Noticed the 770 area code and thought it might be Atlanta.  Do not know anyone there that would be calling that early on a Saturday morning.  About 2:30 p.m., I received a call from 8882494134.  Got a recording about this being a personal business call.  I disconnected the call.  I then searched both numbers and have determined that these are both "Phisers"  searching/mining for information.  They are probably working together. I also received a call yesterday around 3:00 p.m. and the there was a long pause, I guess the computer was rewinding.  There is definately a scam happening andthey are looking for information and trying to collect on an old debt.  They need to be stopped.
