They are scammer/extortionists located in India

Report them:  http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

No legitimate lender is going to loan you money over the phone or e-mail.  On-line lenders are just as suspect.  Never fill them out.   Instead go to an established brick and mortar place if you need a loan.    Although it's best to stay away from any type of payday or extremely short term loan if you can.

Never give money or financial information over the phone.

These scammers like to pick on women, single mothers, the elderly and members of the immigrant community.

Be wary.  Take care.   If they tried to scam you once, they are sure to try to do it again.

General Rule:  If someone with an Indian accent calls you and (1) offers you something or (2) threatens you, you know it is a scam an hang up immediately.  Block the call.

They have called me numerous times saying my loan had been approved. The minute I talked to them I knew it was a scam the moment I talked to them. They blow up my phone all day everyday now. I had to get an app for restricting numbers

I also was nearly a victim of this. The night before they called me I had done alot of searching around and submitting applications for a loan to get some repairs done on my truck. The next day my phone blew up from random numbers (30+ calls by noon), and when I finally took my lunch break and answered one they said I had gotten approved for a loan up to 5K. I decided to take a 2K loan and they said i'd need to get a "Vanilla" Reloadable card from CVS or Walgreens and put 10% of the loan on it to show that I had funds to pay them back, and now in retrospect it does seem rather fishy when like stated previously above they could've 3 way called my bank to confirm that I had funds in my bank. Do NOT deal with these guys.

Yeah, I just received the same type of phone call from a guy named mike cooper claiming he can give me a loan for $1000.  He said the payments would start in may and be $220 per month for 6 months and since my credit score is low to complete the loan transaction I have to go and purchase a vanilla reload network card for $3.95 and load $220 on the card.  Once I do that call him back so he can verify that the money is on the card and then they will deposit $1000 into my bank account.  Personally, I felt this was a scam - to ask me to put money on a reload card which makes no sense!  If they wanted to verify that I had the funds for the first payment all we had to do was a 3 way verification call to my bank to confirm the amount was available.  I told the guy (mike cooper) that I would purchase the reload card and call him back but I went online and searched the number he called me from first to see if there were any reports listed (772-882-6440) and I found a whole lot of people claiming they have been a victim.  I called 1-877-FTC-HELP and explained the whole phone call and FTC said it definitely sounds like a scam - do not have anymore contact with this person or except anymore calls associated with that number.  They also advised me to close my bank account and report to Experian (888-397-3742) for a fraud Alert.  Everyone - Please make sure you do research before you spend your money.

Call 1-877-FTC-HELP OR GOOGLE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISION AND GIVE THEM AS MUCH INFO AS YOU CAN ON THIS PERSON. REPORT THEM AT RIPOFF.COM, THE BBB, YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND POST THIS NUMBER EVERYWHERE!!! It is illegal to request money in order to give funds. Spread the word! These are usually people from India ripping Americans off!

I had the same guy Mike Cooper call me 2 weeks ago saying I was approved for $5,000 dollar loan.  I told him I didn't ask for that much I needed $1,500 or $2,000, he said that would be fine.  Then he let me know that I needed to show good faith of paying since my credit score was so low.  So to buy the Vanilla re-loadable Visa card voucher and put $150 on it.  I let him know that I'm not buying my loan, not giving money to someone I don't know and hasn't even given me the money.  How do I know it's not a scam.  He got mad at me and said in a mean tone of voice, "lady we are run by the state so we can't screw you over."  I started laughing at him and let him know, "I didn't want the money thanks anyway."  He kept arguing with me and said we have your banking account information.  I let him know that it wouldn't be hard to find him so he better watch out.

This is what scares me the most with all this crap.  Them having my information.  I would love to get involved with going after him.  On top of did anyone find it odd how Mike Cooper sounded like he was Japanese or something like that.  When ever I've had someone call me regarding a loan they all say there names are like;  Mike Smith or Cooper, and also, they have a attorney named Mike Cooper, that says he wants to help you out in your law suit you are in.  (They all sound Japanese)  The funny thing is I'm not in a law suit and he wouldn't tell me what it was about, so I finally just hung up on him.  They all get very rude when you don't take their offers.  These scammers need not to be able to do this crap anymore.  It is horrible especially when I'm completely alone and have no-one I can fall back on for help.

This "gentleman" and I use that word lightly called me 10 times in a 24 hour period after asking them the first time to remove my number from their list.  He insisted I had been approved for 5,000.00 in advance pay, but then asked for my name.... duh!  He then started calling my cell phone... when asked to speak to the supervisor, he said, "Why?"  and then said he was Mike Cooper, the supervisor.  After telling him AGAIN, to not call anymore and to remove my numbers from his list, he said,  I AM TELLING YOU SIR YOU ARE APPROVED AND MUST TAKE THIS MONEY!  The idiot argued with me! and then... HE hung up on me!

I just lost $170 with this company. The mans name was Mike Cooper and he told me I could get a loan for $3000. He said since my credit score was really low I would have to show that I could make the payments of $170 by buying a Vanilla reloadable card. I did that and they took the money and then told me I needed to come up with an additional $495 for taxes. They are located in North Florida and I plan on finding their address, going to the local authorities and calling the news to get them shut down and get my money back. I should have known better but when you are in a bind you don't think about being scammed. I do now though.
