They have called me numerous times within the last few weeks offering thousands of dollars and that I am approved, yet I don't remember applying for anything, so I never answer, but they leave the same voicemails over and over, but I am glad I looked them up and checked this website so that I can block them right now, I pretty much knew right away it was a scam but I feel bad for those who don't know any better!!

I kept getting these calls as well asking for a Crista.  I also got text messages from them.  A David with GE Capital said I was approved for a loan of $3000. I played along and said this wasn't enough that I needed $15,000 to go to a private culinary arts school.  He said he needed to talk to his manager Victor for approval.  The line disconnected.  I then called back and got the voice mail which I filled up by saying la la la.  Revenge is sweet sometimes.

Same issue here. Trying to scam a senior I care for. I'm my research I have found the number comes from magicJack I have contacted them directly with no luck what so ever. They refuse to do anything. I have contacted law enforcement to see what can be done.

He's calling me repeatedly cause I keep hanging up on him.

This guy got mad because I would not talk to him and he told me he wanted to play with my boobs.

Outright scam. These are East Indians (claiming to be from GE Capital) that call you telling you your loan has been approved for a certain amount ($6000, etc) then ask you to send $300 to them through western union to show "good faith and that you can pay your bills" before they will deposit the money in your account. They want you to send money that way because its untraceable and non-refundable. They will never make a deposit. They will take your money and run. The phone number (772) 933-9401 is from Indiantown, FL, USA, but the callers are not actually in the US. I called GE Capital in the US and they are aware of the scam and claim that its being investigated.
No legitimate lender/loan company would ask you to send them money, especially $300, when they know you are NEEDING money. 99% of people seeking a payday loan wouldn't have the $300, that's why they seek the loan in the first place. I blocked my caller ID and called back several times to see what they would say.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. DO NOT CONFIRM YOUR PHONE NUMBER TO YOUR NAME. You can call them back using your phone but give them a fake name and tell them to stop calling. If they match your name to your number they will just re-sell your information.
