I called them back and a East Indian sounding man answered and said the call was being recorded. I said why did you call me? He said he knows that I am interested in going back to school. No. Uh uh. I thanked him to never call this number again. Blocked another one! Love that the iPhone now allows blocking calls. I have a huge list!

Get calls all the time from numbers I don't know. Once they have called a couple times, I block the numbers.

The best way to handle these site is to go to your recent calls, high light the number and hit your soft key on the bottom left. You can block any number by doing this. May take a while to block all their numbers, but it will lessen your interruptions eventually.

Another BOTHERSOME Scammer or money grabber - GET OFF OF MY PHONE!  

The FTC is waste of time but a necessary waste of time.  They only collect information to see how many calls are being made.  The only thing they did on several complaints was to notfiy me with a form letter (or email) that I can sue that company on my own and in the jursidication having the authority.  Another waste of time becuase any other state General Attorney is not going to pursue an action for an out of state resident.

What do you do - GET call block and eventually your phone service will be forced to provide for free.  Otherwise buy a phone with call block capabilites.  I heard of options like "blow a wistle", call them continusesly, etc.  Most of the time - the call center is use a phone number from a legitiamte organization or lately the use of a rental cell phone (which is toss away).

Now - if the owner of the company making these call is identified - then I wonder what would happemn if that information was posted to websites like this one...........

BEWARE BEWARE - the first comment is that they are with your contuning education and second - that they are recording your phone call.  They will continue to ask you questions until you use an affirmative word (such as "yes").

PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER an UNKNOWN PHONE NUMBER or IN THE EVENT THAT YOU DO - NEVER SAY ANYTHING FIRST- if it is a robo-caller, it acts as if your number does not work (works on several but not all callers).

I got a call from this number today at 11:30am on my cell phone. I did not answer. The scam that is going around now is a company is paid by solicitors to call your number to let their clients know what time you pick up your phone (knowing when you are available).  Just do not answer.

Two missed calls, no voicemails. So I put thephone on mute and used *67 to call back restricted. Don't u know some woman answered immediately,  loud call-center sounds in the background and said "hello,  is this ___ ___?" ??Bi*** had my name anyway? Wtf?? Thot maybe *67 wasn't working (new cell device) so tried w hubby cell,  showed restricted... I hung up. She never identified where I was calling, so no info there,  but I too am supposed to be on all the do not call lists. Ha, right.

Missed call at 2:53 PM today.  No message left.

Just got a call from this number but I did not answer.  The phone number location listed it as from IL USA.  I usually do not answer calls from callers that I don't know.  They are usually just trying to sell you something or worse yet trying to steal your identity.  It's best to just not answer it.

I get calls all the time from these people.  You can have your cell phone company block these numbers.  I have an app on my phone that will block them as well.  Works good when I can catch it on my cell.

I received a phone call from 773-217-1707 to my cell phone today, June 5th, at 5:06 PM.  I am on the national Do No Call list but that did not stop the caller from calling.  I have a rule for myself that IF I do not recognize the phone number, or if the number is unknow, I simply do not answer the call.  If the caller leaves a message and is actually someone I want to talk to I will call them back. However, the large majority of unknow calls do not leave a message.  If I get calls from the same number more than once I assign the name "Do Not Answer" in my phone book so that when that number calls back again....and again....and again I know NOT to answer it.

I answered and asked them and asked if they wanted to buy weed. They hung up.

Called me and told me that they were form "College Referrals" and that the call was being recorded and whether I was interested in further education. I told them I was on the "do not call llist" and they hung up. Scammers. I filed a complained with the FTC under:  https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

Alternatively, if they call again, I will pick up and say: "I followed your instructions, the job is done, please go clean up the bodies and the blood before the cops find them. Please wire me the money as agreed". ;)

Took some digging but they are an organization called Ameritech some school online it appears making thousands of calls . They have been cited by the atty general for violating the do not call registry (what a joke that is i think they sell the numbers to the telemarketers )  Im sure they find ways around the law . The number they use is strictly a dialer number to get you to answer (like you would)  so if you call it back it most likely will hang up on you but not before computerizing your number so they can again bother you with their drivel

I just got a call from this number, have been getting dozens of these calls in the past few weeeks.  I answered the call and said, "The job is done, you need to go and clean up the blood and bodies!"  They replied with, "we will call the police."  I told them to go ahead, then the police will track your worthless scamming, criminal a** down.  They started cussing me out and hung up.

I received a call earlier from this number and called it back.  First, a message from a guy with a high pitched voice said that my call was very important and I will be transferred to the next available agent. After a while the call would end. I called the number back a few more times and noticed the message starts at around 10 seconds and the call ends at around 50 seconds. There's also a noise that starts around 3 seconds and ends right before they hang up. Other than the message, no one answers.

Just received a call from this number, it was the first time. I do not answer unknown number calls, period. Harassment via cell phones surely has picked up.
